Sure
Now answer this question, If the cowboys special teams actually makes one damn play or gives the cowboys offense good field position one time ever, do the cowboys possibly win those games and go to the playoffs?
remember that New England game? One of the biggest plays of the game was our special teams crapping the bed and giving up a blocked punt which led to a TD for the patriots.
If the cowboys defense doesn’t let Mitch freaking Trubisky and Josh Allen look like Steve Young out there, do the cowboys win those games and make the playoffs?
that’s my point. Apparently you aren’t getting or don’t want to get.
if you want to lay blame for the seasons overall failure on the offense, go for it. I’ll continue to expect the entire team to try and win games.
You blame the offense for being inconsistent when they had horrible starting field position all season and only started with the ball in opposing territory one time in 16 games. And then you want to blame them when they don’t score much against good defenses. Of course they Didn’t score much against good defenses when they had to drive the ball 80 yards every time they got it. Good defenses don’t give up 80 yard TD drives very often.
Go through each loss last year and you can see which unit underperformed and was responsible for the loss.
Why it is so hard to watch a game and not be able to break it down.
The excuses are amazing. In the 8 wins the offense had no trouble, averaging 37 points. But in the 8 losses they averaged 17 points. Is this not the most inconsistent offense in the NFL?
In the 8 wins the offense could score from anywhere. But in the losses it was the defense and special teams that did not help, they were team losses, or better yet, coaching.
