McFadden had a career high in carries this season and didn't have as many yards and TD's that he did in Oakland playing behind a lesser OL. McFadden had 8 games averaging under 4.0 a carry and was part of the reason the Cowboys were the worse team in the league on 3rd and one. Julius Jones only had 5 fewer rushing yards in 06 than McFadden had this season but had more TD's. McFadden only scored 3 TD's which is unacceptable for the amount of carries he got and that played a part in why the offense was so ineffective this season. Our scoring offense was way down and McFadden as well as our QB situation was part of the reason.

It's not all about rushing yards it's about situational yards that move the chains on 3rd down and McFadden was ineffective in many of those situations. According to many any back was suppose to be a fit here playing behind an OL that had 3 pro bowlers this season. CMike never got enough opportunity to find out if he was a fit he never got more than 5 carries in a game. Our running game was part of the problem this season especially on 3rd down which put more pressure on our QB position.

While team was a mess this season. Situational running had a lot to Do with having the worst passing game in the league. I would suspect McFadden would've been better if we had a healthy Romo.

The grass is always greener on the other side. If Pacman spent the last 6 years in Dallas and only had 10 ints you would hate him. You probably hated Newman when he was in Dallas and would have almost 4 ints a year, but now that he is gone you love that he gets 2 a year. Pacman only played 9 games for Dallas due to suspension and injury. He also missed the entire 2009 season. Hardly some grand example of a player Dallas didn't know how to use. He also cost the Bengals a playoff victory.

Michael didn't learn the playbook. Hard to put a guy in who doesn't know what to do. No one should rue his departure. They should question why Dallas traded for him in the first place, which I do. I didn't want the Cowboys to trade for him and knew he wouldn't amount to much. He will probably be with his 5th or 6th team in a couple of years.

I do agree that Dallas should have let Dez go and kept Dwayne Harris. That would have turned the whole season around.

I was never thrilled with Newman and his play not to get beat approach but he never received good coaching his last few seasons in Dallas. I blame the coaching in Dallas for CMike not learning the playbook. This coaching staff never gets the most out of players which is why the Cowboys keep missing the playoffs. Most of us screamed for Dwayne Harris to get more opportunities at receiver.

Jerry brought Pacman in because he thought he had a SB contending team in 08 and wanted to make a splash. Once the 08 season went down the drain Pacman was released because Jerry didn't want to baby sit him another year. I never said let Dez go and keep Harris but Harris should have been given more of an opportunity at receiver.

You already have your answer. If he was truly the voice of sanity, he wouldn't be pretending he's the Director of Player Personnel. He'd say "You know what, Dad? Why don't we hire someone qualified for this?"

It will be a "seamless" transition from father to son.

"built in advantages"

how was that not? Shameless

That rule has to be modified somehow. Remember that Aaron Rodgers underhand throw to no one in the end zone? The absolute definition of intentional grounding..

Well after they figure out what a catch is of course

This Vikings defense is really fun to watch. I bet theres some teams that regret not giving Zimmer the shot he deserved for far too long also.

.

That is just an overly simplistic statement. There are far too many moving parts to reach that conclusion. Dallas got more out of Miles Austin or Laurent Robinson than any other team. Or how about Patrick Crayton? I think they got more out of Newman than either the Bengals or Vikes. What about DeMarco Murray?

There was no reason to give Dwayne Harris more chances in 2014 when the Cowboys had one of the most efficient passing games in the league. Dwayne Harris got more opportunities in 2015 due to injuries to guys in front of him and it wasn't enough to get the Giants to the playoffs. He wasn't going to help the Cowboys make the playoffs, either.
