I wouldn't say Isaiah is wrong, he says Dak made the right read. He's just saying Ceedee made the decision because GB disguised their coverage well and confused ceedee
Isaiah Stanback is wrong. Dead wrong. He's making excuses for CeeDee's refusal to run inside the DB because CeeDee knows he's going to get hit. Like Nate Newton said...Get someone else to run those inside routes where they know they are going to get hit but still make the play. That's how Michael Irvin made a living and a name for himself. It didn't matter what formations or changes at the last second opposing Defenses made, Irvin always made sure when running inside routes, at any level, to always make sure to run inside of any DB and position his body between the DB and his QB in order to use his body as a shield and help him make sure only he could make that catch.
CeeDee is scared! It's painfully obvious he doesn't want to run those inside routes and get hit, hence why he keeps on hesitating mid-route. Like Nate Newton said...get someone else in there willing to sacrifice his body and run the route it's supposed to be in front of the DBs, even if you know you are going to get hit. Clearly, CeeDee is not and is not willing to be that receiver. Get him out or have him run lesser routes (thus play him less and elsewhere).
Simi Fehoko has the perfect size, strength, speed and body girth to run those inside routes and take a hit the way Irvin used to. Cowboys need to stop trying to make CeeDee an Irvin type when he's not since he is too skinny and has a thinner frame. Use the more stout and bigger framed Fehoko instead. Problem solved.
