That's one i don't get and wish i knew more about. Yes they dropped it,but what was the explanation? Cops/DAs/SAs don't just drop assault on a cop charges.

Yeah, especially when several police officers have to take you down while one maces you. I guess Chicago police really wanted to go to the Super Bowl that year. It's really no different than how the Dallas Police treated Cowboys players in the early '90s.

Um, were you alive in 1998? I don't need to access the DMN microfilm room to remember Jerry's priorities in the wake of Irvin's troubles. If character was not an overriding issue, then Randy Moss would have had a star on his helmet. In fact, character was such a priority that Tank himself was taken off the Cowboys' draft board just a few short years ago. Then he went to Chicago and turned into the kind of turd the Cowboys predicted he would. What's changed? Oh, that's right. Fergy's injury.
