The Lions really shouldn't have gotten the ball back because there are clips showing that Hendershot really didn't trip any defender. So the game would have still ended on a bad Ref call if the Lions 2 point conversion never got whipped away. Difference is a lot wouldn't have cared since it's the Cowboys who would have lost.

Okay, I just saw a replay of the 2 point play. If 68 reported and 70 did not then there was no illegal formation penalty. It was a legal play. But if #70 reported whether or not 68 reported it was illegal formation. I can see where teh ref was confused when #70 came running over to him when he didn't have to. The ref must have thought 70 was reporting.

It's funny but those siding with the Lions and Decker as asking, if he wasn't reporting then why did he go to the refs? But they are not asking this same question about #58 or #70. The Lions got too cute and confused the refs.

I would love to hear from Demarcus Lawrence and the other Cowboys who were alerted by the refs about who was eligible. Did the refs say #70 or did he say #68?

Boohoo to the whining Lions.

I mean, why isn't anyone asking them how STUPID it was going for two 3x in a row? The probability is so low even going for it once. They kick the FG and they would probably win in OT with the way our Defense was playing. Their coach is a buffoon on a similar level as ours and I LIKE Dan Campbell.

St Brown was off the line leaving Decker uncovered but fortunately for us the ref didn’t hear Decker.
Opposite. The receiver was on the line of scrimmage leaving Decker covered, making him ineligible by formation.

I'd be livid if I was a Lions' fan, but the fact is, #68 has a teammate between him and the ref, almost the entire sequence. He's got to make sure that the ref acknowledges him.

No, if the OT were eligible, it's not illegal formation. The WR is clearly a yard off the LOS.
They also have 8 guys on the LOS.

Campbell screwed himself. They had the momentum to go for 2. After the penalty they lost the momentum and field position. Take the extra point and play on.

Allen got it wrong
clock stopped, not sure what his rush was

nice to see one go our way for a change
Does the clock stop when a player reports? It seemed like the clock kept stopping even though it was a running one with the exception of MM calling a TO.

If the illegal formation causes 68 not be eligible, it’s still illegal touching no?
68 cannot be eligible unless he reports to the refs that he will play an eligible position.

I don't think which penalty was called matters. There are several penalties if he was ineligible. They called illegal touching.
