Another perfectly good thread hijacked.
Better now than during the season.jksmith269 said:He actually had surgery last night from what I understand and will be out 2 weeks.
Actually, didn't we have this discussion once or twice already this offseason? :bang2:Nors said:Canty to TE situationally. Gotta be prepared and ready for injuries. You heard it here first.
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:blindzebra said:Campbell back in 10 days, Aug. 7th.
Parcells said Canty is expected to begin full practice, Aug. 8th.
Just when is Canty going to get those 2nd team reps?

EVERYONE "KNOWS IT NOW" Two years ago, a year ago, 6 months ago and today majority still fight the 3-4 reality. Go 2 years back and do a hybrid or 3-4 search. You are 100% wrong on your assertion.
My track record historically is pretty good on predictions globally actually. Grow a pair and post yours?
Nors said:Dude - I can get past your heinous spelling issues. But dude - have you read my posts factually explaining to you Canty played TE at UVA?
HELLO?

Waffle said:if the players did not pick up the 3-4 scheme to Bill's liking, he'd fall back on the 4-3 and maybe run some "mixed" fronts instead.
Waffle said:So what? Ebenezer Ekuban played TE in college too, but I didn't see Parcells trotting his *** out on the field in place of Witten, Campbell, or Robinson.
Waffle said:That was the key thing he said today, B. I predicted this very thing two weeks ago...that if the players did not pick up the 3-4 scheme to Bill's liking, he'd fall back on the 4-3 and maybe run some "mixed" fronts instead.
It's the Peter Principle in living color.LaTunaNostra said:That's become clear.

"Global predictions"...."historically"... there is an air of significance here I can't quite grasp. Not exactly Churchill forecasting German intentions.
No, Nors, it doesn't take a "pair" to predict a pragmatic coach who played a 3-4 his entire career might just do the same if his current defense failed. And I know Cowboys fans were expecting 3-4 when Bill was first hired.
That you decided (or your mania decided for you) that you would make it into a two year crusade is actually, well, a bit odd.
Also keep in mind a certain percentage of the '4-3 homerism' emanantes from legitimate belief the talent on board is still more 4-3 suitable, some comes out of the historical Cowboys perspective/practice (Landry, etc), and yet more is a reaction to YOUR obsessive pursuit of it.
I think the 4-3ites are going to handle MIXED fronts a lot better than you are.
And if Bill, as he flat out said today, has to fall back on the 4-3 exclusively, I hope folks are more charitable about not rubbing it in than you have been.
Nors said:Good thing you are not managing this team. You would let the inmates run the asylum? Parcells drafted 3-4, grilled Zimmer and will not accept your malaise and acceptance of failure.

If only they gave out medals, Nors, for sports board predictions.Nors said:Whatever you say. There were few to none calling 3-4, hybrids and all that we are BECOMING today 2 years ago - to this day there is an element that still don't get that!!!!! In fact there was public redicule towards 3-4 slants. Go back to Howard trade threads 4 months ago there was SERIOUS resistance to 3-4. And TODAY.
Ya'll are in spin mode and denial. But yes, it was OBVIOUS what Parcells would do with 3-4 and today I agree with you 10000%!!!
Goodnight.
I wish I had a pic of TO photoshopped into that one.BigDFan5 said:.....

If Ellis for example is getting killed against the run for example you think Parcells is just going to allow that? Especially if there is an alternative?
Come on man are you a fan of the 3-4 or the Dallas Cowboys?
