I'm more shocked that McNabb is #2 on the list.

Why would you waste $90 on a jersey for a career overrated QB who chokes in big games who's at the twilight of his career and will likely only be with your team for 2 years maximum?

I'm rooting for the guy. He's done nothing wrong himself yet I know people who have blind, seething hate for him. He's a leader, he's a winner, and he's a class act. I've met him on several occassions. He has a ton of charisma.

Hope he does well just so I can hear the sound of panties twisting across the country.

I dont think using your face as a billboard to spread your beliefs is classy, I think its pretty tacky.

I get the oddest feeling about the guy sometimes.

It's almost like that old saying if it is too good to be true...

Sometimes I just think that one day we will find out that behind the scenes he is a serial killer, pedophile or junkie....something bad that is just a 100% opposite of what his public persona shows.

Now do I think that he is one or all of those things...not really, it is just one of those feelings you have with some people.

Don't know what it is about him. I am sure he is a great guy but just that weird feeling that something is hiding there.

I think Tebow is a genuinely a good guy and if people want to show their support of him by buying his jersey great. Being a Cowboy fan I have one team I support so I will not be buying a Tebow jersey but as a fan of football I wish the guy the best of luck in his career as an NFL player.

Sadly in some respects...yes.

But there is just something about that guy that makes me think he is hiding something dark.

But you know what. He could be just what he seems to be. A real quality guy. Someone who has the quality of character of a Roger Staubach. Now I don't think he will ever have the NFL success and credentials of Roger when it is all said and done. But He could very well be seen in the same light as a quality of character type guy and have a great after the NFL type of success like Roger.

I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt until a person proves otherwise.

As for his career, I have some major doubts as well. Being a stud college QB does not always translates into being a good NFL QB and many of the skills he used in college at QB will not cut it in the NFL.

I do think if a young player is willing to learn and work hard at making the changes they need to make they can overcome if he relies on the things in did in college he will fail

Tebow jersey is No. 1 in the league

Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow already ranks first in the NFL in a popular category: No. 1 in jersey sales.

Between April 1 to June 30, the first-round draft pick from the University of Florida had more jerseys sold than any other player through NFLShop.com, according to CNBC.com.

Tebow ranks ahead of Washington Commanders quarterback Donovan McNabb, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.

Other rookies ranking in the top 20: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (8th), St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford (9th), Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (15th) and Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Berry (18th).
Everyone is on vacation except Denver obviously.

The funny thing about this is the whole Jax Jags thing prior to the draft.

There was some heavy pressure among fans of the team for them to draft Tebow. Now normally that is just fans talking and no real impact on the team. But seeing as Jax is one of those teams that was not getting as much fan attendance it was actually talked about in some media circles that the Jags just might draft him in order to get more interest in the team and in turn to make more money.

Just something odd to think about because whether Tebow pans out or not, it is now beyond obvious that he has garnered plenty of fan attention in Jersey sales and you just have to wonder if the Jags would have hit a pay day (even if it is a short term thing) by drafting him and possibly dramatically increasing ticket sales.

Strange, we just got back from Denver Wednesday after a four day stay that included Elitch Gardens, Dave and Busters, several other popular "Kids" spots, and saw a grand total of one Tebow jersey. You guys must be right it must be all those people in Florida buying up the jerseys...

The sales would probably be even greater because they're in Florida.

I hope he succeeds. He is arguably the best college football player of all time and is a passionate competitor. Its also pretty obvious he isn't a royal turd like too many of the guys in the NFL.

It is just a gut feeling that something is hiding there, that all is not that it appears. But that does not mean that it will be so bad as being a serial killer or pedophile so that first part is just over dramatic examples.

I mean maybe something down the line where it turns out something like Tiger Woods. Where he had this squeaky clean image only to find out he is a guy who is cheating on his wife with so many women.

So the first part is just over dramatic examples on my part. But who knows maybe one day we find out that in his spare time Tebow dresses up like a clown and calls himself Pogo.:p:

I missed the boat on this guy I just don't see the hero worship... I can't think of anything he has said or done that would move me toward worshiping him as some sorta hero.

crying over losing a game...that disgusts me ...take your *** whopping like a man...does it hurt he ll yeah it hurts but quit with the baby routine besides no one will be able to convince me they weren't crocodile tears anyway

standing up and saying this loss is my fault and it won't happen again.. I promise you...makes me want to puke there are so many things wrong with that it might take me an hours worth of typing to get it all in.

Reasons for this:

Popular Heisman winner from National championship team = >sales
Rookie (so new team jersey automatically =>sales)
QB (most of top sellers are QBs) >>sales
ESPN promoting >>sale

I agree. The guy seems like some scary "mr perfect". Everything about the guy seems forced and fake to me. Like you said, I wouldn't be shocked if he's busting with child porn or something sick. Something about him just screams that he's hiding something.
