What baffles me is that many of us have been watching the Jones Family for quit some time. Everyone should know that the Jones ar enot going to give up a premium pick this close to the draft. They will give up a premium pick during the palying season, but not within 90 day sof the draft.

He's underwhelming because we were all expecting Hopkins or Stefon Diggs. ;)

Seriously, this is the same guy we tried to trade for last year, but decided he was just too expensive, so we can go without. Either we didn't really see him as a difference maker or we weren't all in last year. You choose which one.

They wanted a 1st rounder last year. We got him for a 5th and 6th.

I absolutely understand many of us are bitter, but this FO has put together a really nice value offseason and the draft is our strong suit. We are on contention next season ladies.

I hope you’re right. 9 year vet on his 5th team makes me doubtful, but I can be a cynical old geezer lol

He may have had more first round picks burned on him than any other wr. He wasn't booted, by any means. I do see your point though. As a wr2 with Gallup as well I feel pretty safe.

Thanks, I missed the roster bonus next year when I looked at it. Weakens the trade a little, but Hou eating $6M this year more than makes up for it. The big part about next year is that it isn't guaranteed. So we can get out for 1 year and $12M if we so choose.
Exactly. No guarantee for 2024.

Nobody's crying Son, pointing out facts to you seems to bother you though...
The fact is they unloaded a contract and have money to improve other areas. You have 2 guys with similar career numbers for less money. Keeping Cooper would’ve been a terrible move for a team with little money to begin with.

but we weren't

soem delusional fans were Diggs is untradable 100% Fact his deal would still put 30plus million on dead cap for Diggs, get real never was going to happen. Dhop at his price we all saw it wasn't going to happen. it was OBJ or cooks or lower like chark or Jarvis Landry. Most who were reading click bait and news not from the Star got all excited and disappointed. those deals were NOT happening ever expected it unless the cards came down to 3rd , paid some salary , and stopped asking for another player. All ridiculous

Cooks, cooper and Hopkins all have 61k seasons.. yes Hop is the better oif the 3 but truly its not big gap more lie !a 1B 1C type situation. Coper and cooks careers almost mirror each other.

Our acquisition of Cooks sets up our WR spot to be improved, especially with Gallup recovering some of his lost speed and quicks this year. The TE and RB spots might be helpfully improved, as well if we play our cards right. There's lots of talent to be had in those two positions, to be sure.

Im giving Stephen Jones some kudos here. He earned an A for effort. These moves have been smart and calculated & make sense.

Yet again with the personal BS. You do that a lot on a keyboard but I suspect not in real life as there are consequences for people running their mouth and going personal.
Naw there's no consequences but imagine me say "take some time off" and you thinking that' fighting words lol. Insane lol.

With good moves. You don’t have to trade 2 first round picks? Who knew?
EXACTLY and we been creative as well. 2 instant starters for peanuts while we have most of our premium picks.
