Q

He may have had more first round picks burned on him than any other wr. He wasn't booted, by any means. I do see your point though. As a wr2 with Gallup as well I feel pretty safe.
He is definitely an upgrade over Noah Brown— and in truth— this is not a very impressive draft when it comes to WR, so a move like this was always a realistic scenario

In the end, we are better at WR than we were 24 hrs ago. That is something at least lol

Same with the Gillmore move for what we traded the upside is great no reason not to like this move, they are paying a third of his salary also, it is a really good move by this FO...yes I'm shocked also.

I like that two teams who traded for Cooks went to the SB with him. He had 8 catches for 120 yards in his SB with the Rams and Jared Goff in 2019.

we are actually all in this year. For better or worse. I like it.
not sure id use all in as term but getting ahead iof the needs now not week one or wait until week 12 to get payer like OBJ or TY when its bit late.. they are correcting some missteps from last year,. And cool thing we have 6months to churn the roster have the draft etc. I was thing they were going to wait until after the draft for dhop or OBJ and the price may come down or end up with Chark or Landry.,. this i like, much better move.

This puts an end to all the speculation about OBJ and Hopkins.

Solid move for the money and the draft compensation.
However, Cooks is underwhelming to me.
I would have rather had Hopkins as he is potentially a difference maker.
That being said, another really solid move.
I like that we are shoring up these positions of need before the draft, so we can draft for BPA and not for need.

Cooks is hardly more than a JAG but it is a cheap deal so whatever
He’s a lot more than a jag he had six 1000 yard seasons and was on pace for 1000 yards last season in 13 games on a real bad team with QB issues. He’s clearly an upgrade over Noah Brown who was a jag.

There was another option that would've improved the team even more by trading for Hopkins.
I wonder if anyone will still think that after they make their 2nd round pick this year. I’d take Cooks and 2nd over Hopkins, a 5th, and a 6th next year every single time especially since they need contributions at 4-5 spots to come from the draft. TE, RB, DT, LB, K, and OL depth. Tall order without a 2nd round pick!

That will never end.. those 865 yards are irreplaceable. He was amazing!
you realize cooks had less than 700 yds last year right? not everything is looked at in a vacuum

Cooks has got to be the most traded player of all time
4 times in a 9 year career.
In the long history of the league, there's probably several way-under-the-radar players than eclipse his total; but no doubt Cooks is at / near the top of the list of notable\able players that has been traded the most.

He had 699 yards in 13 games on a bad team with QB issues. He was on pace for a 1000 yard season.
