RS-J on his visit to Texas yesterday.

"Good day at Texas. I just talked to the coaches and took a tour of the basketball campus," he said. "It felt good to be there again. Texas is still No. 1 in my heart."

yeah yeah if that is the case you would still be in the fold

WR Kyrion Parker (who camped at UT on Sunday) decommitted from LSU. His teammate, CB Tavares Garner, just committed to A&M.

Parker is one of those guys who sems to be ranked way, way too low by just about everyone. How can a 6'4" receiver with offers from LSU, Arkansas, OU, A&M, Ole Miss, MSU, OSU, Tech and Florida among others not even crack the top 50 players in the state?

On a seperate note, it looks like Baylor is currently taking a bunch of recruits with Tech, Oklahoma State and TCU offers. That hasn't happened in a while, if they could attract some high end defensive players Briles might be able to sustain something there.

Alex Sezer committed to A&M; he's supposedly an 'under the radar' athlete who is very fast (4.24 40?!)

That's very fast but how tall is he? Is he Joey Galloway or JJ Stokes, two blinding speedsters that were very good in college.

OrangeBloods talked to 2014 RB Leonard Fournette of New Orleans, LA at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge this morning. He says Texas has approved him for an offer.

I'm a longhorn fan but I can't deny Sumlin is building a helluva recruiting class.

the advantage he has is that he was already evaluating most of these players due to where he coached previously, is recruiting the same area because of where he is now, and already has relationships in the high schools but now has the SEC brand behind him and a bigger budget.

Recruiting for UT is like playing NCAA on freshman level. All they have to do is throw offers on the table and they're done.

True story, UT came to my school when Robert was our QB and watched a practice and then put an offer on the table in our film room with a note attached that said "as a safety". Never once spoke to him in person.

Boom. :D

I think that in past years, that my have been the way UT recruited. There are a lot of stories like that floating around but with this new coaching staff, that is not how they are recruiting any longer from what I am told.
