Congratulations to Texas for winning the Big XII conference and advancing to the playoffs!! What an exciting year!!

EDIT: I have just been informed the above statement is mistaken. They did not win the conference championship or advance to the playoffs. They were just acting that way after beating Oklahoma and raising their record to 2-4, so I was fooled. My apologies.

I don't know how great of a coach he can be but Charlie Strong > Bob Stoops and it's not even close. This was complete domination...and you can argue that it is the 2nd year in a row they've outplayed Oklahoma with a much lesser team.

Yeah despite being a Texas fan I think it's pretty ridiculous how they're celebrating like they won the National Championship. It's a good one. Something to build on, but it's just one game.

I have no problem with it:
Rumors that the coach may not make it after this season
Upperclassmen vs Underclassmen
Came off a blowout loss and three losses in a row frustratingly
Players tweeting in the locker room
Playing their biggest rival that was a top 10 team

That team went through all types of adversity this week.

I said before this game that if Stoops wasn't at OU I think Strong would be in my top 5 to be the head coach at OU. I really don't get the UT impatience.

That said, Bob has to divest himself of his brother. He's the Fredo of the Stoops clan and needs to hit the rowboat.

They needed something and they got it. They just beat the 10th rank team in the nation. They were expected to get blown out. They've have sucked on a level they haven't seen since what? The 50s? That IMO is enough to celebrate for and if I were them, I would tell everyone to shut the bleep up and deal with it. :)

The Horns deserved this win and should celebrate it.

I think Bob Stoops has to go. The Big XII has changed - Baylor runs the conference now and if TCU can find another QB after Boykin, they'll still be there too. Strong appears to have Texas headed in the right direction (and at the very least, he's not a pushover like Mack). It just might be time to go in a new direction. I guess they can keep Stoops and keep winning 9-10 games but I don't think the culture is there in place to eventually win it all.

Correction, TCU runs the conference. Baylor is still the new kid on the ranked block.

Ok, I had low expectations going into this game........I expected a huge beatdown. However, I was absolutely and pleasantly surprised.

We basically dominated the game from start to finish. I loved seeing Strong carried off the field.

hey Bonecrusher, this year, we got ya......I haven't gotten to say that to you much, but this year I can......

I don't care what the circumstances are, when you win the OU/Texas game you celebrate big time. That's the whole point of this RIVALRY. Typical butthurt OU fans bitter that Texas got to celebrate!:D

HOOK EM!
I don't give the slightest darn about Texas.
I don't give the slightest darn about Oklahoma.

When a coach who is 2-4 is body surfing his own team in celebration, that's just pathetic.

Not a lot the cheer about this year for Texas. Let them have fun.
It's like Dallas 1989(1-15) but the win over the Skins.
If your a true Cowboy fan you could relate. Guess that says more about you than Texas fans.

You haven't watched many college football rivalry games.
I'm 100% sure I've watched more than you but gee, since you've watched so much college football, tell us all when was the last time you saw a 2-4 Head Coach body surf his own team.

I eagerly await your non-response.

I don't mind the kids having fun with the victory. The coach has to be better than that. He has to act like he knew it was going to happen all along.

Oh really? Gee, I don't remember Jimmy Johnson body surfing after that victory.
If your a true Cowboy fan you could relate.
Sorry, but as a Cowboys fan, I don't relate to being so ecstatic with a 2-4 record that I think they should dump the Gatorade on the Head Coach and he should then start body surfing his own team.

But I guess 2-4 is a record that you feel you should celebrate. Guess that says more about you than Cowboys fans.
