And yet...you keep posting in a Texas vs. Oklahoma conversation
Some ppl need validation.

And yet...you keep posting in a Texas vs. Oklahoma conversation
I'm 100% sure I've watched more than you but gee, since you've watched so much college football, tell us all when was the last time you saw a 2-4 Head Coach body surf his own team.
I eagerly await your non-response.
Correction, TCU runs the conference.
Congratulations to Texas for winning the Big XII conference and advancing to the playoffs!! What an exciting year!!
EDIT: I have just been informed the above statement is mistaken. They did not win the conference championship or advance to the playoffs. They were just acting that way after beating Oklahoma and raising their record to 2-4, so I was fooled. My apologies.
I don't give the slightest darn about Texas.
I don't give the slightest darn about Oklahoma.
When a coach who is 2-4 is body surfing his own team in celebration, that's just pathetic.
for Rogah's viewing pleasure
Charlie and co. are just making themselves look stupid for acting like they won the BCS. They won one game against a good team finally. They looked like a semblance of a football team. For once.
Some folks in Manhattan, KS would like to have a word w/ you.
I am a huge fan of college football and I recognize the importance of today's result. And yet...you keep posting in a Texas vs. Oklahoma conversation
And yet you lack the self control not to give one, laced with a personal attack, no less. You don't deserve a response your self-righteous ******
Fair enough.Rogah, I understand where you are coming from, but I must disagree with your stance.
Texas has been on an emotional roller coaster the last few years, and especially over the last month. They lost two games that were well within reach. Then, they get blown out of the stadium against TCU. Today, they play their ultimate rival, come in as huge dogs, and dominate from start to finish. Yes, the score was close, but the game was not. Texas played the best game I have seen them play in a very long time.
So, with all the emotion, all the criticism of Strong and the coaches, all the alleged turmoil and infighting amongst the players, I completely understand the Gatorade shower and the players crowd surfing Strong.
Is it excessive, yes.....but these kids are full of emotion, spirit, and pride and they showed that today. They seem to absolutely love playing or Strong. I believe the result of the game, the dominance of it, and then the post game activities will go a long way to building a stronger team and also assist with recruiting.
HOOK EM
I agree that baseball celebrations are getting way out of hand. It used to be that making the playoffs in baseball was a big deal, and something legitimately worth celebrating. But now what has happened is teams still celebrate just as hard for making the final-8 (quarterfinals) as they would for making the final-2 (World Series).BTW, the post game celebration by the Horns was totally acceptable to me......now the celebration after the Astros beat the Yankees was way over the top.
