Texas vs Nebraska

i dont see what would be so hard to just start the season a week early, cut one game from the non conference schedule, then ahve the 6 BCS conference champions and the next 6 or 8 teams (if 6 have the top 4 have a bye) in the BCS standings, and do a playoff to two teams, you can then still have the bowls and have the last game be the citi or allstate or whatever national championship game. I really...REALLY dotn understand how Div 2 has a playoff with no problem that ends b4 the bowl games start and we cant do that with div 1

Could Happen Temo. I really don't think that Florida is all that good this year. Heck, I didn't think they were heads and shoulders above a lot of teams last year. I thought that the difference between Florida an OU last year was Harvin, who is gone now. Cincy might surprise, who knows?

I think they have a chance. Otherwise I wouldn't even bother rooting.

I was very impressed with the play of Suh I can see why some feel he should be one of the top 5 players selected if not the 1st player selected. The man is a beast. I'm happy for my Longhorns of course but I believe in giving credit where it is due and Suh has my respect.

OU was the team that didn't belong last year. Both UT and USC would have made it a better game.

He really should win the Heisman. There are no other players that truly stood out, head and shoulders above others, like he did this year. That award is a bit of a joke because they reserve it for QBs and RBs.

I agree but like you I know the odds of a defensive lineman winning the award is slim to none. Many great defensive players have been nominated over the years but no winners at least that I can think of. The fact he is being put on the finalist list though says alot about how people feel about it and I expect he will take home a lot of hardware as the different awards are handed out.

I think that your statement can be applied to anybody in the country, including Bama or Florida. TCU is a damn good football team. I am not nearly as impressed with Cincy but I have not watched them as much either so that may be part of it. I have been singing praises for Boise for some time. In fact, the past several years. They have a good thing going on there as well. The only real solution is a playoff but it won't happen. I feel bad for BSU, TCU and Cincy because I feel like, as a Texas fan, we were in much the same situation last year. It sucks, no question.
I hate to say it, but this is not really the same situation as last year. Last year, Texas actually lost a game (of course, so did everyone else).

But this year you have 3 teams who are undefeated (1 of whom arguably had a tougher schedule than Texas) and are still not going to get a chance to play for the championship.

Despite what MC Kaos says, I am not a Texas-hater. I have no stong opinions one way or another anbout any of these teams (my alma mater played, and lost, a playoff game this past weekend). The only thing I hate is the system.

I'll never forget when Auburn swept the SEC, went undefeated, and still did not even get to play for a title.Players from that team are all over the NFL right now. That was just flat out crazy for team to sweep the best conference and everyone else and still get left out....and for me at least, said there is no solution without a playoff.
