2: Nebraska's offense is one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. I know Texas has a good defense, but 106 yards of TOTAL offense in a conference title game? The A&M game must have really pissed Texas' defense off.
3: Once again, every single significant break went Texas' way. Call it skill if you want, but Texas backed into this win. Nebraska went full ****** in the final minute.
4: Neither Tebow nor McCoy has any business winning the Heisman. It'll likely go to Ingram, but I'd love to see Gerhart win it. I really hate that the Heisman has turned into the award for being the best QB or RB on a top 3 team. Like I said earlier, if we're going by best player, Suh should win it.
5: Texas is going to get POUNDED by 'Bama unless they fix something over the next month. That offense has had trouble against competent defenses all year and they are about to face the best unit they have ever seen. 'Bama's offense won't rollover and play dead liek Nebraska's did.
6: This year is proof that we need a playoff system, because the best team in country may not reside in either Austin or Tuscaloosa, but in Fort Worth. I hate that TCU won't get a chance to prove themselves even after dismantling everything placed in their path this year. Cincy also deserves a shot IMO.

Texas thought Nebraska had a good defense? Well they haven't seen nothin like Bamas.
nyc;3119327 said:I disagree. I think Nebraska's defensive front is better than Alabama's. Alabama doesn't have anything like Nebraska's Ndumakong Suh. Someone with a top 3 pick is getting one hell of a player next year.
Suh made himself a little bit of money last night, not that he was exactly hurting going into the game. He may very well have played his way into the top overall pick in the draft.nyc;3119327 said:I disagree. I think Nebraska's defensive front is better than Alabama's. The only criticism I have for Colt is the way he handled the final 50 seconds of the game. I cannot believe the pressure Nebraska was getting consistently on the QB with just 4 lineman and dropping 7 into coverage.Biggems;3119373 said:they guy was beating double and triple teams all night long. Colt never had time to set his feet and throw. he was shellshocked from the get go. i am sorry but to bash Colt for last night is lame. his OL got used and abused.
Seriously?? What in the world would make you say that, given Alabama's performance against Utah last year?Danny White;3118806 said:Mack Brown seems like a very nice guy and is a great recruiter, but when it comes to actual coaching, there's just an ocean of difference between him and the guy who's going t be across the field from him in the Nat Champ game.
Giving Saban a month to prepare for a game is almost not fair.

Rogah;3119357 said:1) I love college football but I continue to hate the system. While 1-AA has started their playoffs and are down to the final four, the big schools have the same clustermess we see year after year. What a novel idea... settling a championship on the field...
2) I have never seen such horrible clock mismanagement before at this level in my life from a team that actually still had a timeout left. Colt McCoy was about 1 second away from the biggest choke job of the season. And all his post game "I knew how much time there was left" bravado is just a load of crap. He had no clue how much time was left in the game (and neither did the coach). He was looking at the play clock and ignoring the game clock.
3) They were also stupid to not really try to advance the ball any further once they got inside the 30. That's still a pretty long FG.
4) I don't think you could find anyone who doesn't believe Alabama deserves to go the title game. But after them, you really have 4 worthy contenders:
4a) The most impressive victory belongs to Boise State, having handed #7 Oregon their only loss.
4b) The overall toughest schedule belongs to Cincinnati.
4c) Texas has only 1 win over a top-25 team (using the final standings). If they were any other team but "Texas" then they'd be on the outside looking in. The only reason they are getting the nod is because they started the season #2, whereas Cincy was unranked.
4d) Despite all the above, I think TCU is arguably playing better top to bottom than any of the other 3.
5) I just don't see any way Texas beats Alabama. Imagine them playing a team with a defense as tough as last night but with an offense that is not made up of junior high caliber players.
Dude you need to relax. I don't hate anybody. I follow college football with a purely gambling interest in mind and I never let emotion cloud my judgement.MC KAos;3120441 said:translation, WHA WHA WHA, i hate texas, WHA WHA WHA, everyone else deserves to go except texas..WHA WHA WHA..did i mention i hate texas? I just calls 'em as I sees 'em. You don't need to act like a 5 year old just because somebody happens to think your team isn't all that great. And will get whupped next month. And will finish the season behind 1 or 2 of the other teams I just mentioned.
Yes Alabama, like every single other team including the Longhorns, got lucky and won a close game that could have gone either way. What's your point?MC KAos;3122508 said:http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=292970333

Did you actually watch the game last night? I think as a Texas fan, you probably shouldn't be thumping your chests quite as loudly as you seem intent on doing.
BTW, I notice you call me a hater but at the same time you can't point out a single thing in my post I said which is actually incorrect.
