Thank god Troy isn't commentating on Sunday.

Aikman's one of the best out there.

And I don't think he's anti-Cowboy at all. He certainly doesn't gush all over them. If you're looking for Troy to talk about the Cowboys the way Theismann gushes over the Skins, then I can see why you think Troy is anti-Cowboy.

He's fair and he's knowledgable. Of course, everyone's different.....Troy may not be your cup of tea....fine by me....

I'd rather have him, than most of the other commentators (Theismann, Paul McGuire, Mike Patrick, Collinsworth, Rosen, etc...)

I shrug off worse "ownage" than that on a daily basis.

If Aikman is not biased then how come so many people feel he is???

Because you all are confusing bias with honesty.

Jack Nicholson has a famous catch phrase for that.

cause aikman always talks down on them like they suck. parcells is there coach. he should be down on them so they don't get cocky

I've never heard this, and I've seen every Cowboy game for the past six years. Can you provide an example, please.

Maybe I'm just not listening.

Perhaps it's lost on some but the fact is that Troy's playing days are over. He now has a job and a responsability to his employer. His job is to call it like he sees it. You don't like how he sees it, OK but it's not an opinion shared by his employers. Fact is, he's the number one guy on Network so I think there must be something right about what he's doing. He's not a part of the team any longer. He has no ties to anybody there. He owes nothing to anybody on the field. This concept of him needing to be slanted towards the Cowboys is miss guided. He may have personal feelings that lean towards the Cowboys but there is no place in his proffesional career for that.

His approach, IMO, is commendable. He is pro and that is what he gets paid to be. In effect, he earns his money and that is never going to be a bad thing in my opinion.

I think he go's overboard sometimes so he wont get the Cowboy homer label. I dont mute him but he does get on my nerves from time to time. I have no problem with him telling the truth about the Cowboys but sometimes he just seems to take it a little to far.

Those are my exact sentiments. I want Troy to do his job professionally, but he fears Dallas success because as the #1 analyst, he will be forced to commentate on them a lot, which he apparently would rather not do.

For those who say he has no anti-Cowboy bias, listen closer. He even laughs after Dallas turns the ball over. He has done it more than once.

True but this should go both ways right? We are not stating he should be slanted towards the Cowboys we are stating he should not be slanted against the Cowboys. He should be unbiased in the objective middle.

Talking about his nice clothes isn't about football.

It's "one" time.

I didn't say he was bad. I said he isn't in the same league as Aikman and if he left the business I wouldn't care.

In my opinion, he is. The problem is that we have been a bad team for a long time. Even now, I can not say we are good. We have the talent to be good but we haven't proven to that as yet. We still make bad plays and we get called on it.

I think he is being objective. Perhaps I am wrong in my observations of this or perhaps it goes back to that old saying. Sometimes the truth is hard to take.

Would any of you disagree that bashing or taking shots at the Boys sells?

Aikman is no idiot.

Dude, that is absurd. I am sure Aikman is the #1 analyst for Fox because he bashes the boys when he does commentates on the Boys once every month or so.

Get over it. You do not like him because he does not have his Cowboy pom-poms on.

BTW give me some specific examples of his hatred of the Boys. I will be waiting.

If Aikman were doing nothing but Cowboy games, I might agree. However, he's made his name on calling games all over the country. In fact, the percentage of games he's called with the Boys is probably less then 10%.

I agree, he's not stupid but he's also not what it sounds as if you may be trying to imply IMO.
