Like I said...

My point here is that I THINK Romo is not a Class "A" a QB (If you want to call is that way)

Is he better than quincy carter... yes,
is he better than chad hutchinson... yes

I know and admit that he is the "Best" since Aikman but that does not still make him what we NEED IMO.

And if people think that by expresing my honest and sincere opinions about this and thus call me a troll, then those people need to learn to respect others opinions.

I spent money on plane tickers, hotel etc etc. for his CRAP of a perforamce!!!

There is NOTHING to say or justify... HE PLAYED MISSERABLY in that game!

I didn't know Romo gave it up easy. Maybe that's why all the hot girls want him.

Homer Simpson choking Romo....now that is funny.:lmao: Exactly how many fans feel after the last game. You should have him choking Philips -- sucks as defensive coordinator and head coach. Choke them both...:bang2:

Seriously.. GROW UP!

This community is for debate and to talk about the team our team the Cowboys.

So I said it once and ill say it agian..

I no longer think Tony Romo is the QB we need, he will lead us nowhere and it will be sooner than later when he gets replaced by a REAL QB!

Ok .... one more try

What makes you think Brady Quinn is better than Romo?

What could you possibly see in him that is better?

I'll throw in one more - you mentioned Big Ben. Explain to me how Ben who has a higher career INT rate than Tony Romo will fare better than him on this team with a more porous offensive line and nothing remotely similar on the team defensively or coaching on the sideline.

Maybe his gritty leadership will just make everyone more talented?

And I was just joking ...... I butcher the English language as bad as anyone on the board.

Cut him a little slack on the the spelling...

As he said, he does speak six languages and English is not his native language, Spanish is...

He's better with English than many of our "Native Born Sons" here... ;)

It is ok!!! dude thanks for the back up.. i type fast and i tend to miss type alot! So i am not worried about that and yes I will try to type slower and speak well for you all, that way we can all be happy!

Now, onto the important things:

1. I dont have the "facts" to say that Quinn is or even will be better than Romo, but the fact is that he was there in the draft. Whereas Tony was undrafted. Does that by itself mean anything.? no, but the fact that we had a QB that was "higher rated" and passing on him, not even having him as a back up is what I am regretting now.

Romo had has many opportunities where he can reach that "A" class status. He had has those "momentums" where I think Quality QBs show what they are made of. I think Tony did good when we was not in the spot, when he was not under the meadia pressure. He was the "Mr. Nobody" all "jokes" "ha ha ha ha attitude" that charmed the media and many of us (including me)

He was the "moxie" boy that played the game with "passion" and fun and no worries. What has become of that boy? Well he is now the starting QB of America's most popular sports franchise, he has the attention the pressure of many. He HAS to step up, he is NOW or we watn him to be the NEXT Aikman, the Next Roger. And in the end I tink that this is or was just too much for him.

So, having Quinn in our team would have just made us feel we had a sort of "insurance" a potential "good" QB if things went wrong with Romo.

Yes yes yes... I know Ryan leaf, and hell.. Tom Brady was not that all "hyped" when he got drafted. So yes, exceptions can be made.

Big ben. He sure makes his mistakes, but he has 2 rings now and I have seen him steup up then he needed to!

I am not saying or asking Romo to be perfect. All QBs and all players have good and bad games. But it seems that Tony Romo will never be able to win a Big game. Happened in Seattle, happened with the Giants, against the Ravens etc. I am starting to see him as a very decent Backup, but not a starter for a team of this caliber.... That is my honest opinion.

Well I am glad you are not asking him to be perfect, but you are asking him to be much more clutch than our defense.

As inexcusable as some of Romo's knuckleheadedness can be at times, does the defense help him out a whole lot?

How inexcusable was the 70 yard drive with 53 seconds remaining in the half that New York put on Dallas in the Divisional playoff game? All people like to focus on are the mistakes of Romo. Subtract that ridiculous drive and Dallas wins the game.

The Ravens game. How does the defense get excused for back to back 82 and 77 yard touchdown runs late in the fourth? Subtract those plays and Dallas wins again.

With 4 and a half minutes remaining in the Seattle game, Dallas is winning. Dallas gives up a 37 yard TD to a tight end for the game winning TD. Was that Romo's fault as well?

I highly suspect if Dallas had a defense that showed some semblance of "clutchness" Romo would have won those games and we would not be having these conversations.

Sometimes the defense has to step up. I bet you would trade Ben R for Tony in a hearbeat. I give Ben R great respect for the game winning drive against the Cardinals. However, if Harrison does not intercept Kurt Warner seconds before the half is over and run it back 100 yards for a TD, the Steelers lose that game.

Oh but yes, Ben R has "won" two Super Bowls. Lets revisit his first Super Bowl win 9/21 for 123 yards no TDs and 2 INTs. Let me guess he is just a "winner" has nothing to do with his defense bailed him out.

I am ok with Romo criticizing, I was hardly happy with his performance, but try to be a little bit honest when critiquing his performance and assessing blame.

There are other problems besides Romo, that is for sure (Wade Phillips) But the main point here is that Romo has yet to live up to the expectations.

Do you guys see him as our true Franchise QB? Like Aikman was?

I dont think Newman is that good
I dont think Wade Phillips is the coach we need
I dont think we got the WRs we need
I really think this team does indeed lack true leadership!

Trust me, if it was just "Big Ben", the Steelers wouldn't have won either. Their D had alot to say about it.

I was confused when I saw the title of the thread and then read the post. I thought you were genuinely thankful for having someone like Romo as the QB of the team you follow. I for sure am. Do you think Palmer is a better QB? How many "Big Games" have the Bengals won? The defense is just as important as the offense.

Chill out, it is only one game.

When the season is over and we miss the playoffs, We will see what most people think.

It such a same that some people here cannot take negative comments about the team.
