I think for most, just trying to "understand" this first paragraph is certainly understandable. :laugh2:

Oh, please do...

It does...who knew?

Seriously, you must be joking or just plain ignorant regarding those stats. Those rushing stats only confirm, that Vick accomplished something no other QB in the history of the NFL has....1,000 rushing yards in a season. The fact, you need to flush those accomplishments down the toilet, to make him "not worthy" is really pathetic and sad.

Your opinions are the ones becoming laughable now. You need to realize the "fact", that Romo is not a playoff winning QB yet and Vick (regardless of his rushing accomplishments) already is one.....period.

There's just no way around it. If Romo wants that gorilla off his back, he's going to have to remove it "himself", by playing in January and guiding his team to victory in the postseason. As it stands right now, it's Vick's 2 postseason victories and QB rushing records > Romo's 0 postseason victories and high QB ratings.

Deal with it.... and just hope it changes.

You can't win in the playoffs twice and once on the road (Lambeau in January), if your QB is not an effective one....period.

Sounds like your trying to make "yourself" feel better. Vick belongs in the same league as any other NFL QB "run or no run alike" as you put it.:omg::rolleyes: His postseason victories put him there and you can't take those away from him....ever! No matter how you much want to condemn his running, it's that same ability, that helped get the Falcons to the playoffs.

BTW, some Cowboy fans think Romo IS a running QB and should run even more than he does.....OMG!!!

But don't worry...I think it's just a rumor. ;)

see above...

True, but if you're going to place Romo among the best QB's in the game, you'll need a lot more from him in the postseason and that simply hasn't happened yet.

nothing new here, move on. :cop:

Has Carson Palmer even led his team to the playoffs? I think maybe once? If he did, I know they lost.

Palmer led the Bengals to the Division title on the 05-06 season. Then in the second round of the playoffs vs the always fortunate Steelers, he suffered a season ending knee-injury on the opening drive of the game.

So they lost to a Steeler team they had swept in the regular season after losing their star QB on the opening drive....terrible luck. Those Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl...and that 2005 Steeler team was not really that good.

What's weak is you trying to pump up Vick's tenure as an NFL QB by pointing to stats that have nothing to do with a QB's primary objective: throwing the ball.

Well, guess I should of conversed with you before writing up my post because you said it all and in right to the truth of the matter.

Can I add to it? Vick sucks as a QB, but may make a good RB.

Vick's rushing stats and postseason victories speak for themselves. If you want to criticize his passing accuracy then please be my guest, but don't try and trash and diminish his accomplishments on the field. Especially, when your own QB hasn't achieved the same. Sorry, but I'm not going to trash Vick's body of work, so we all can feel good about Romo.

Why are you having "technical difficulties" understanding?

Hey, if you think the Technical Difficulties thing is stupid, take that one up with bbgun. I just have it in my sig so that it's convenient for him when he wants to use it next.

Until Romo get the team to move forward, it's a bit pointless to lose one's head over how 'overrated' or 'underrated' he is being portrayed...He's given fans a glimpse of what he 'could' be, not what he is or should be.

Until then, criticism is fair game, IMHO...Start winning or start packing

so is waterfowl,

I would like to see is better play by the entire team in December. No one can dispute the lack of heart our entire team has displayed in the december games, and that reflects on the coaching staff. Wade will be gone IMO next year.

Good to know that if Romo ever went down, we could easily pick up Vick as a replacement, as Vick is just as good as Romo and probably cheaper too.

I'm not trying to diminish his accomplishments, but to say he's a better QB is ridiculous. Vick was deadly with his legs and was able to capitalize on having defenses pick and choose their battles of defending Vick or the receiver.

But let's be honest here. He just wasn't a great QB when it came to being a true QB. Often times, he couldn't control his passes, he liked to get fancy and make a stupid throw, and the only known receiver to ever catch a pass from him was Algae Crumpler. On other occasions when the team needed him to lead them down the field he was busy dancing around in the backfield.

In short, for Vick it wasn't making "throws that count" it was making "runs that count." Now cool, he was doing it at the QB position, but a QB needs to be able to throw the ball.

All I'm doing is pointing out, that Vick has accomplished more than Romo. Apparently, that's a tough fact for some to accept around here.

Does that make Vick better than Romo?

No it doesn't, but it does place Vick ahead in terms of accomplishments on the field.

I can't deny Vick that....and I won't.
