The Avengers

From the time Cap said "Hulk....Smash." it was pure awesomeness. To me Hulk stole the show. The scene with him and Thor was funny as well. Hulk Vs. Loki....best scene ever!

They are really getting better and better about translating comics to movies. This one really had the feel of a comic book, especially when people kept getting blind sided. They can do these movies forever, the stories never stop!

I think the director writer had a lot to do with that. Joss Whedon he has been a successful writer& director in TV world and the Big screen. He also wrote for Marvel and started one of their best selling X-Men lines. I think that helps

Just wanted to follow up after seeing it on Friday. I liked it. About a 8/10. There were a lot of funny bits in there and the scene with Hulk and the villian (forgot his name) got the loudest laugh by far (you guys know what it is).

It was packed for a Friday 11:00 AM show!

the villian's name is loki.

took the grandson yesterday and really liked it. Scarlett Johanssen was smoking. Great Humor throughout and the action scenes were awesome. One of the best Action films in a long time. All the characters were great.

The movie will have made in excess of $200 million in the opening weekend.

That is unbelievable.

About $650 million worldwide in two weeks.

Sold out here....going to try and see it tomorrow. This is crazy.

I am waiting until my vacation to see it. DisneyWorld has a really good IMAX Theatre. I have a $12 certificate for this movies because of an order that I made on Amazon.

Finally saw it.....was AWESOME! Such a fun movie. The only gripe would be they don't explain enough about hulk (dumb and gets stronger as he gets angrier) and the enemy could have been fleshed out more to seem more of a threat. Otherwise it was just comic gold....straight from the comics. Went tonight at 9:55 and it was even sold out. So crazy.

there were actually two scenes, you had to wait through all of the credits to get the second one

What was the 2nd one? I saw the Thanos one...what was the final end one?

Yeah, I found a clip online. It was pretty funny :)

I took my eight year old to see it last night. It had a couple of goofy moments in it, but overall it was a very well done movie. My son thought it was the greatest thing ever.

...and for those of you that are comparing The Avengers to Nolan's Batman Trilogy...just stop. You have no idea what you're talking about if you attempt a comparison of the two. They are two different types of movies, both are here, get over it.

You are the one who keeps crying about the Batman films..... maybe you should get over it?

Dear god, no.
You may want to surf over to a coming attraction movie site like movies.com. Your worst fears will be confirmed. :muttley:

I see the Thanos spoiler is out the bag. I'm pumped. Thanos is a cosmic level entity. It would not surprise me to see The Avengers' storyline continued in Thor #2 slated for next year--albeit without The Avengers. :p:

Dude. Relax. They're comic book movies. :)

I guess I missed what makes discussing the two at the same time so offensive?

Who said anything was offensive?

EDIT: Oh, I see what you're saying.

No, please don't take me wrong lol.

I'm not even specifically talking about the comments in this thread, I've just seen people comparing the two when they're obviously two different types of movies.

One is a comic book movie, the other isn't.

I went a re-read my previous post and it came off as a bit whiney and fanboyish lol...

We all have our moments.
