Well, at least Romo will be on the sidelines watching this team, learning what it's going to take to become the Dallas Cowboy's Head Coach when it's all said and done. lol

After this is all said and done with him, Broadcasting would be the best...but, he would make one hell of a coach or OC.

LOL. I have to laugh at this because Jerry already took away his play calling duties. Now we need to take away his duties in overseeing his playbook by effectively scrapping it.

Then Garrett can totally focus on his football politicing, platitude speaking, and cheerleading duties and bring that trophy home!

JG can have a new title. He can be our new FC. The field trip coordinator.

(sigh) It isn't bad enough that America's Team sucks badly, but now Notre Dame chokes....I have no more football to watch this year...

...Jones keeping Garrett seems like a forgone conclusion (unfortunately). I was hopeful that the team could put a run together, and thus, I was not commenting much. But I am now confident that even with Tony, the team still would have finished with, maybe, 5 wins....maybe....the play that solidified my immense disdain for the FO and overall coaching was the pick 6 by kuechly...he saw something that Romo did, barked out orders to the rest of the team, fell back in coverage and then the only thing left for him to do was navigate through a few non-committed players to sashay into the endzone for the 2nd pick-6 of the game....if an opposing plays knows EXACTLY what our offense is going to do, who is to blame? Tony for throwing the pick? Or the SERIOUS lack of game-planning, coaching, play-calling by this pathetic excuse of a coaching staff....sure, an injured Tony threw the ball...but when you see that the defense knew our playbook BETTER than our own offensive players, then it is time to give up

Last statement/question in this thought:

What will it take for that booze-swilling owner to take notice and step back and bring in a REAL coach? Will it take us lose by double-digits in the last 5 games including two to the hated Commanders? Will it take the defense just flat-out giving up when they se the offense repeatedly going 3&out over and over? Will continuing to lose the team cause the Jones triumvirate to finally say "geez, maybe we really DON'T know how to run a team"

I never want to see Dallas lose, but at this point, if it would matter at all, take the beating and lose if it brings in Sean Payton....

Worst case scenario, Linehan and some of the offense go bye-bye.

One name I'd love here is Wisenhunt. Dump Garrett's system and start over, because the 0-8+ record without Romo is clearly on the scheme, then the coaches. But, I love the core team we built.

If we swapped coaching staffs with the Bucs, are we still 3-8 this season? Easily, the answer is no.

great post, I saw the same thing on that play, kuechly knew exactly what the play was going to be and how to play it, and really same thing
on all 3 int's.
That is all on JG's outdated ,overused playbook , it makes it easy for teams to defend us.
We were out coached big time in this game.

Sad thing is we will still have JG and his old playbook next year too, and he will keep bangin away, and trying to stack some wins,
but mostly will be watching the tape and gettin better !!!!!!!!!!
only thing is the gettin better part never seems to happen does it ??

I wonder when they watch the tape, is it of that game just played ?? or maybe they pop some popcorn and just watch taped movies?

as long as JG is here it will be his system and plays, no matter who the OC is.

Imo Garrett is safe for 2016. The coordinators could be canned depending on how the season finishes.

I bet they go for a new DC over a new Oc

Personally I cant stand JG, his football rhetoric is nauseating, i seriously cant watch any of his press conferences, I could live with all that if this team was winning, but its not!!

When we need 5 yards, we run a 3 yard route, when we need 6-10 yards, we run slow developing deep routes, oh and do we always have to run left on 1st downs?

Sad truth is JG is nothing more than another Jerry Jones puppet on the sidelines. This on the job training of a headcoach really needs to end this year.

We are the Dallas Cowboys, we should have the best of everything, from the top to bottom!! End of Story!!!

PS: I forgot something else, our game plans, clock management, situation management and half time adjustments are absolutley the worst in the NFL!

It will not happen. For another 3 years at least. Jerry will probably scapegoat Marinelli or Linnehan this year. So sick of this management.

With the volume of injuries we had..

the whole organization is going to get a pass.

So I don't like it but not much will change.

Jones doesn't want to go thru the hiring process and I can't blame him.

If the shortcomings are addressed in the off season..

we should regain alot of lost ground.

But this has become a revisit of when the Cowboys back in the 60's and 70's were called..

Next Years Champions by NFL Films.

Its the same thing now.

Romo like Meredith..were talented and won in the season..

but when it came to the playoffs..they lost.

Meredith shouldered alot of the blame despite playing with numerous injuries..

and Craig Morton took over.

He struggled too and then Staubach arrived.

The difference b/n then and now was that the organization had a plan and QBs waiting to go.

We are not doing that and I think you have to do that and keep competition at the QB position regardless of the reputation of the starter.

We have to draft and get somebody ready.

Look at the Packers..even the Pats.

They have managed to win in the Cap Era while we have clung to obsolete ideas and we have reaped the just rewards.

Not acceptable if winning is the goal.

But eversince the stadium was built..it has become the focus and not the team.

This is a fundamental problem.

We all have seen this and real fans have got to be in disappointment about this conumdrum.

If this "case" went to my grand jury it would never make it to trial.

Kind of like blaming the poor schmucks in the boiler rooms for the Titanic going down.

Well, Chris...no offense but then you're just the wrong kind of guy.

If Garrett had any of the "Right Kind of Guy" in his own psyche, he would go to Jones and say "I can't do it, let me be the coach in charge of cheerleading and pick Sean Payton to coach this team"

realistically, he IS a smart individual...so it is veritably impossible for him to not see the shortcomings of this team from a coaching standpoint...if that is the case, is he just fine collecting paychecks and leaving everything to the Jones'?

I remember the whole world last season and the season before wanted to fire Ron Reviera. I myself was looking at his team and say "does this guy have any clue?" .. but they stuck with him and let him keeping putting the pieces together .. Look what happens...

Glad coach Garret is going to be around for a while ... My only request from him is to fire OL coach, DL coach, and CB coach .. and start looking for a young talented DC when Rod's contract expires .. I like new ideas

lots not forget some fresh idea's on offense. Our wr's basically run the same 3 routes most of the game. Either a hit, comeback or go route. We do not take advantage of the full route tree. Its like the middle of the field is reserved for TE's and rb's but they rarely run a route 5 yards or more down the field smh.
