You really want him gone don't you bob :D

Well, I guess it depends on what his involvement was in the backup QB situation. In that 0-7 stretch when Romo went down, there sure were a lot of winnable games. The Colts are winning with a 40 year old Hasselbeck. I've seen Landry Jones win a game this year.

Will Jerry eat that contract and then sign another head coach $$$?

He should, but what's the hurry now? He's already wasted Romo's career by giving Garrett time to learn to be a coach. (I still can't even comprehend the absurdity of that. It's kinda like going into a draft to draft backups)

Can't argue that we should have found a way to win cpl of those games. It was mind numbing

There is a trend of backup QBs in Garrett's tenure that indicate he was pretty involved. Brad Johnson, Kitna, Weeden, Cassell, McGee, Orton...

They've gone old and experienced pretty much everytime...

Is he safe no matter what? The only thing we can cling to at this point is that the team doesn't quit under Garrett. If they start to collapse (worse than what we have going now), does Garrett keep his job? What would it take for him to get fired this year?
1. Yes he is safe no matter what
2. Regretfully, if they collapse he will keep his job
3. The only way he loses his job this year is if the Cowboys where sold in the next couple of months and the new owner demanded him gone or it was discovered that he committed a crazy crime such as multiple murders and was going to be sentenced to life in prison, or it was discovered that he was spy trading US secrets, or he slept w Jerry's wife cause Jerry isn't a swinger.

Loses the team at the airport? On the bus? Other than that, don't know how he can lose this team. Being they are 3-8.

Losing is just a part of the process. Next year, we'll be able to win a few more games. The silver lining, we'll have a top ten pick next draft. Have faith you little buttercups.

I am hoping for a top 3 pick. (wonder if they'd grab a TE)

I think Garrett and Romo are tied together. I can't see Mr Jones making a head coaching change until the time we have a new starting QB.

He didn't lose the team against the Panthers? That was pretty embarrassing..

Amen.

One thing that Garrett-supporters rely on the most these days (since they're running out of excuses) is that the 'team doesn't quit'. As if all of our record-breaking 4th quarter collapses during Garrett's tenure don't count as quitting

I feel awful for Romo. The guy had Parcells for his first coach...and ended up with Teflon Carrot Top, Promoter of Platitudes.

Jerry's only the GM because he's owner. Garrett's only head coach because he's "family".

Anywhere else where position is based on performance, they would be out of work.

Good points except Jerry was front office executive of the year last year.
