There is no case, why would you want to fire a very good coach? who will you get to replace him? Answer : NO ONE, any coach that is any good will stay with the team they are currently coaching, and right now there is only one coach and that coach is not in the NFL.
Belichek is the only coach that I believe is better than Garrett in the NFL

Seriously what "great coaches" have you ever seen that you can say have had similar success to JG?
What is it specifically that makes him so good?
Is it his clock management?
His ability to make adjustments mid game?
His offensive scheme?
His ability to maximize players talents and play them to their strengths?
His ability to get his team fired up for big games so they come out sharp and aggressive?
His regular season wins?
His playoff wins?
His super bowl appearances?
His no nonsense approach to players violating team or league rules?
Is it because he's so unpredictable and hard to figure out?
What is it that convinces people he's an awesome coach?
Maybe it's his hair color? Hell maybe it's his race, I don't know. Don't wanna go there but I'm just tossing out anything I can think of to help me make sense of why at this point anyone would claim Jason Garrett is a top NFL coach.
Or wait... Maybe I just got trolled and I've spent entirely too much time thinking about this. Yep, that's what it is, it has to be.

Indianapolis is now 4-0 with its backup QB starting this season, just a little FYI for the "injuries are to blame" crowd.

Hasselbeck's been in their system and worked with their receivers for two years. That's two full mini-camps, two years of OTAs, and two training camps.

Cassell's been in Dallas for two months.

I feel awful for Romo. The guy had Parcells for his first coach...and ended up with Teflon Carrot Top, Promoter of Platitudes.

Jerry's only the GM because he's owner. Garrett's only head coach because he's "family".

Anywhere else where position is based on performance, they would be out of work.

Hope you don't mind but this is my new sig. lol

No opinions or speculation to be found here - simply empirical, factual data:

Offensive Ranking (PPG):

2010 - #7
2011 - #7
2012 - #15
2013 - #5
2014 - #5
2015 - #29

Defensive Ranking (PPG):

2010 - #31
2011 - #16
2012 - #24
2013 - #26
2014 - #15
2015 - #17

43-38 overall record. 1 season over .500. 1 division title. 1 playoff appearance. 1 playoff win. Offensive weapons in the top five rankings of their respective positions. A defense that barely can squeeze into the top half of the league in a good year.

We work and live in a results-driven world. These results are not acceptable.

If the endgame is mediocrity, then I guess we're doing just fine. I would like to strive to be more than average.

Incredible. I go away for a month and I come back and the entire board hates Garrett and wants him fired. LOL

What's it going to be then, eh?

I'm usually the last guy to blame the coaches. This team is not talented, nor well coached. I've come to grips with the Cowboys being mediocre. years like 2007, 2009, and 2014 are outliers. There's a reason the Cowboys are now mentioned with the Lions, Browns, Commanders, and those teams. It starts at the top. Jerry is comfortable with Jason, that's his handpicked coach. It will take another season or two of a trainwreck like this for Jerry to make a change. Then he will hire another coach he is "comfortable" with. Rinse, repeat. Never ending cycle with this organization. Love this team to death, but extremely frustrating and disheartening.

Very true.

The Man In the Mirror phrases have already started to pop out.

Pretty soon a position coach here or there with a short life left on their contract will get taken to the woodshed.
