Couple of thoughts...
We need to put any "
Kobe is better than Jordan" talk to rest. Great, great player? Definitely. But MJ never blew 24 point leads at home in the Finals.
Doc Rivers is outcoaching Phil Jackson.
So much for the refs/David Stern extending the Finals to seven games.
Only people who think that are media members looking for something to talk about. Jordan was the best basketball player ever. Kobe will go down as the 2nd greatest SG and depending on how many more titles he wins a top 5-10 player ever. Not too bad. Plus as the years go on Jordan will get better and better. Nobody talks about his Wizards comeback debacle, or how he is one of the worst exceutives in the league, or that stupid baseball stint he did. Next thing you know, they will talk about how he was a great teammaate, and Steve Kerr deserved that punch to the face, and Bill Carwright overracted by threating to cripple MJ and how he was a family man and it was his wife that drove him into the arms of several hundred women.
Anyway I just got back from Vacation, and it's not looking pretty. Thank God I didn't wach any of these games. I knew Boston won game 1, and heard everone making fun of PP on the radio on the way to the airport at 4 AM.
I was in Ireland so I made sure I stayed away from any USA today's I saw to avoid it ruining my vacation.
I didn't know what to expect for this series. SA and Boston were the only teams that scared me with out Bynum. Hopefully we win tonight and give them a good battle in game 6. It doesn't look good though.
If you are a Laker Fan just take soilce knowing that you are basically playing with house money this year. Only thing stopping the Lakers from winning the next 2-4 titles are injuries, and the Portland Tailblazers.
