Sure, but instead of signing guys that will actually help the team with this cap space they do things like give Jaylon Smith a massive contract he doesn't deserve.
***** and moan, ***** and moan. The guys they have signed this year just might help the team. How about let them play a few games.

Oh sure, but comments like (paraphrasing here) "0-2 here we come" or "this team sucks" or "Dallas will never win a SB with Dak" or "the coaching staff are idiots" don't read to me as being cautious, they are "doom and gloom"...

I can't speak to comments I haven't made or the members that made them but I am certain you can appreciate their frustrations with this organization given the last 25+ years. At the end of the day we all want Dallas to win but that simply has not been the case and for some, they have NEVER seen Dallas win which may explain their opinions.

1. Please stop with the trolls/hater comments simply because people express their opinions on players that may differ from your own.

2. Not sure how anyone looks foolish about Dak's contract if they expressed their opinion as to what he is going to be paid versus his on the field performance. Base salary was converted into a signing bonus which just means that the dead money on Dak's contract make it so that Dak is here for at least the next 3-4 seasons barring any injury (which of course would mean that money hits the cap regardless).

This move may be a show of confidence in Dak's health or just may be positioning Dallas to attempt to sign free agents next season, eat dead money on bad contracts by trading/releasing player(s), or looking to re-sign existing players to contract extensions. Regardless, it's their move to make not ours.
Guys that ***** about Dak's contract are just stupid period.

Winning the division is winning. 13 and 3 is winning.

Jaylon's contract is just the perfect example of how they waste this restructure stuff they do to free up cap space.

It's not THAT hard to understand if ya take your head it of the sand and look at the organization with unbiased eyes.

We been through this before. You start saying crap like take your head out of the sand and anything like that. My head is not in the sand. Your's is. I asked you a question. What does Jaylon's contract have to do with this?
NOTHING.
Was it a bad contract? Yes in hindsight, int is. Was it at the time, no is wasn't.

Unbiased eyes? NO. You sure do have biased views though.

Can we see how the guy plays first?

That goes without saying. They clear up cap room now. He has a great year, they have the $$$ for a contract, instead of scrambling around at the time.

Everything is a wait and see how this team does. But it does not mean one can't be optimistic about the changes that have been made.

Show me all the other teams handing out Crawford deals. Then we’ll talk.

Eagles handed out 13 million a year for 115 receiving yards and 1 Touchdown......
Colts paid Brissett 28 million last year to sit on the bench.
Trae Wayne got 14 million and didn't even play in a game last year.
CJ Mosley got 17 million per year......
Carson Wentz got 32 million.....
David Johnson got 13 million.....

Probably. I use avg salary. Zeke at 15 and Jaylon at 12. Cooper is around 22 is he not?

Yeah but there are other factors involved. Spotrac is a great resource for contract specifics.

I mean you could argue Lawrence "got better". I'm referring to production. I just think about all of the guys who got big deals....Michael Thomas, Khalil Mack, Von Miller, JJ Watt.....I'm just trying to think who signs a big deal and actually produces better than they did before they got it? I'm just bouncing ideas I honestly can't think of anyone that's not a quarterback. And hell even some quarterbacks seem to get worse.

Regarding Lawrence, he put up 25 sacks in 2 seasons and was paid a healthy extension for being an 'elite' pass rusher. Since his extension, he has put up 11.5 sacks in 2 seasons while also seeing his QB hits drop from 49 in the 2 seasons before his extension to 26 in the 2 seasons after his extension and his tackles for loss drop from 29 the 2 seasons before the extension to 21 in the 2 seasons after his extension. Also of note is that in 2018 (before his extension) DLaw had 42 QB pressures yet after his extension he registered 29 QB pressures in 2019 and 26 QB pressures in 2020. Lastly, his QB hurries went from 20 in 2018 (before his extension) to 13 in 2019 and 14 in 2020.

The point I am making is that DLaw was paid as an 'elite' pass rusher and after his extension the pass rusher stats saw a decrease pretty much across the board.

Jaylon's contract has nothing to do with this particular situation. Jaylon's contract was used as an example of how this type of particular situation gets used for the wrong things.

This money they are freeing up will probably be used to resign someone that doesn't deserve it just like they did with Jaylon.

How about I leave that to experts like you? The Cowboys will save a lot of money by dumping those guys.

Winning the division is winning. 13 and 3 is winning.

Yes, 13-3 is winning and was accomplished 5 years ago. Since then this team has gone 33-31 just like in the 6 seasons prior to going 13-3 the team went 56-50. Since 2010 Dallas has had 4 winning seasons in 11 seasons......again, that could be why some members have a level of frustration in their approach to Dallas.

Thats a really poor apples to oranges comparison attempt there. Between injuries and contract situations the circumstances aren’t remotely close to Crawford.
