RELEASED The Cowboys have released Ezekiel Elliott

Or 100 tds, and lmao at some posters thinking a playoff team will sign him. He's a liability to any offense unless they are at the one inch line
Most likely he will not be signed. But it is hilarious to suggest it, and see the reactions.

Yeah I wish they'd done it sooner. I said as soon as they decided to bring him off the bench that it was not a good fit. Some dudes can't function in a limited role. Zeke proved to be such a dude. I don't know what he has left but I guarantee you it's more than what the Cowboys got out of him this season. I think he will hang around a couple more years to see if he can get a shot at 10K yards. But I would love to see him on a playoff team that needs a power runner. Didn't the Lions lose their power runner (Montgomery?) Will he be back for the playoffs? If not, I would not be surprised to see them kick the tires on Zeke.
Lol dude, Zekes downfall has nothing to do with Dallas, he's just an over the hill player. That simple

I don't think there's any doubt. He did the Zeke move when everyone with a TV could see he was washed in New England. Then he does the Lance trade and makes a point of telling everyone that he didn't even consult with the coach before making it. He talked more at the training camp PC than he has in years. Then finally the ridiculous Mingo trade.

Jerry had to remind everyone who was the boss around here, just in case they forgot.
Yea, teams once gave players chances to play football. Not just a movie star hero.

The helicopter too lol

I think Zeke was a vibez signing for the locker room, plus he is obviously willing to be a Company man by the 4 fumble game last time Dallas decided to tank a few years ago. Zeke fumbled at the 1 yard line this year in like game 6 right when we were beginning the tank.

Cowboys FO knew this was a weird year that could go South quickly, on the field and in the locker room...with all the Coaches not extended, Dak contract drama, Coaching drama...seems like Zeke would be a good tool to have for a FO if you knew you could count on his to calm the locker room or fumble for you when you needed it lol.

I think the value was there, Cowboys have to spend 90% of cap anyway and werent really trying to win.

For the chance to go to a team to compete for a Super Bowl……good riddance zeke

Seems like the Cowboys did Zeke a solid by releasing him to afford him the opportunity to sign with a playoff team. I bet a dollar his agent has fielded a few calls from playoff teams inquiring about his possible availability which led to the agent making a call the Zeke to make a call to Jerry asking for his release. Like I said.. I don't know what he has left.. but it's a damn sight more than what the Cowboys did with him. If nothing else he should have been the clear cut short yardage and red zone back.

an old online friend and dumb eagles fan said Philly should sign him just to make a run and get him a ring to shove it in Jerry's face

ehh not such a bad idea hahahaha
