Jerry inserted himself into things this past offseason more than he had the last several years, and we all see what happened.
This is interesting to me, as I am of the same opinion.

I have to be fair to Jerry...this past season a lot of important contracts were up for extension and the Cowboys timeline with Dak and the Future and all the contracts...I can see why an Owner that may have taken a backseat a bit and let his son cook would come out of the shadows. I can see that...

But...I will say that even with all the 12-5 teams with playoff failures past few years causing some end of season drama amongst fans, Jerry and local mdeia...it sure did seem like the past 5 years we were seeing a lot more posts around here about Jerry maybe had handed the keys over to Stephen and Will because Cowboys were cooking on draft day and on the field and we had seen a lot less of Jerry in media...

Then this year happened lol

Im curious if its a coincidence or if some beat writer who has more resources and info could clarify more on this...because it sure does seem like Jerry was told to go to his room, things got more normal and less circus'y for a couple years, then Jerry pops up again and its chaos again ha

Why is Zeke so washed up? He seems a lot more washed up than many other same age backs in the past? Does he have an injury? Seems like you could squeeze more out if healthy. Just wondering.

Dumb & Dumber.

elliot was more into partying than staying in shape !!
He was in great shape 1st season, then went downhill fast !
Derrick Henry came in same year, worked hard staying in shape, and is still breaking 80 yd td runs and having a great season.

difference is all in the head and attitude.

Not surprising... when he scored the TD a couple games ago, Hoffman was excited and did the feel me thing, but Zeke just walked off. He's lost his love for the game

First, the play at center and now released....and people say Jerry coddles his players. He either said something stupid, which I wouldn't blame him. Or, a playoff team wants him.
Imagine he wins a SB! Lol! This place would explode! I hope he wins one!!
Why would people explode over Zeke winning a Super Bowl? Not his fault Jerry signed him. Yall over think things sometimes on what happens here.

....Jerry & Co just got serious. They feel the absentee of post season, and it lingers like bad cut.

Cleaning house already. Zeke was fun and great player for Dallas. Sad, to see him disappear like white dwarf.

He got paid and probably set for life. Thats a good thing.

He should be halfway through a Hall of Fame career. He was unstoppable at Ohio State and looked like the second coming of Emmitt Smith his first three years.
It was very disappointing to see his elite talent fade.
He signed that 2nd contract and never took care of his body. In all my years of watching football I’ve never seen a RB decline like he did. And he never had a major injury.

What a waste of a potential HOF career.

I don't think there's any doubt. He did the Zeke move when everyone with a TV could see he was washed in New England. Then he does the Lance trade and makes a point of telling everyone that he didn't even consult with the coach before making it. He talked more at the training camp PC than he has in years. Then finally the ridiculous Mingo trade.

Jerry had to remind everyone who was the boss around here, just in case they forgot.

There would be no meltdowns because even if Elliott were to land on a SB team, his contribution would be minimal.

He's done. He's washed up.
Yes it would be minimal. But he would still get a Ring.
Kind of like Wentz did in Philly.
