Anyone giddy about what you saw in our first possession? I am.
Here's what I saw:

1. Dak passing with no runningback deep in enemy territory.
2. Spread offense with 5 receivers.
3. Dez running a simple slant to get us out of the hole.
4. Hurry up offense. When did we ever see that on our first possession?
5. Our run game up the middle was devastating. It won't matter who runs the ball.
6. Dak's poise is unbelievable. Its better than last years.
7. Dak's arm seems stronger and has better accuracy.
8. Dak's checkdown technique reminds me of Aikman's.
9. We might come to realize we are a better passing team than most will want to admit. Thanks for the suspension Mr. Goddell.

Hope we keep it even during the season.

What stood out to me was the no huddle. Have to love that wrinkle. I was also impressed with the way Dak and Dez are on the same page. Night and day. McFadden ran solid, but he isnt Zeke. Not great vision and cutting ability is average at best. Run game will be good, but big plays will be less. McChicken fumbled the ball. Green two penalties. These are the types of things that happen when you have lessor talent in there.

FYI.....I still maintain that Williams is garbage. Run blocking aside. I like my receivers to catch passes. Personally I put Williams on the bench and start Butler. Better player that can actually get open.

I dont see any positive in Zeke getting suspended other than him learning his lesson. But it will be nice to see how Dak handles the pressure of having to do more.

Dak, and the whole unit, were fantastic!
Beautifully scripted and executed drive.
Reminded me some of the old 49ers.

Its was preseason, but a well excuted pass and catch is still that.

Can't wait for the real deal.

I couldn't agree more. It was easy to see last night what Dak had been working on.

I "watched" thru the game thread but from what I've gleaned in the off season about his work ethic and nose to the grindstone approach in his personal
' betterment' ? it's a pretty joyous feeling "seeing" his time and efforts are going to yield 10 fold( 10x's fer my non bible reading frens)

Dak brings out the Carlton in me year-round. Fearing the potential abyss in the QB position after Romo, that kid single handedly revived my hope for this team for the next decade+. We're SO fortunate to have him!

I agree with your thoughts
One caveat is that tuning inside on the Giants and Eagles will be FAR more difficult and they will put much more pressure on Dak than the Colts
