The future is finally in focus

Definitely. And if Dak struggles, my feelings on this topic likely will as well.

But right now, I don't want to see his good work disregarded or minimized.

It is certainly not disregarded or minimized. I can't imagine a rookie doing any better than this.

But I also know how invaluable it would be for him to go through a season watching and learning from Romo. That might expedite his development by years.

Go finger paint !!! You don't make yourself look smarter by putting down other people !!!! Sorry you are not loved .
Hope JD cleans his hands off.

Oh I'm sure they are clean now !!! Some people put there foot in their mouth, well JD puts his hands in his mouth !!!

I'm pretty sure you can make yourself look smarter by putting down other people. That's one of the easiest ways to make yourself look smarter, as a matter of fact. It's just that it also makes you look like other things besides 'smart.'

But he will, and you will continue to post about it like a hysterical 13 year old girl. Because reality isn't what you want it to be. But hey, maybe another 1000 posts will convince the Cowboys brass, right?
Does this make J D look smart ?

No, they don't. They involve the same player so they are part of that player's resume and history. The whole package. They 'come with the territory'. Romo's injury history is far and away the worst for any starter in this league and it hurts this franchise - repeatedly. And that pattern needs to stop.

I don't care if it's a different thing that break each and every time. The point is that things break. All the time.
Ouch. That sounds painful. All jokes aside. I do hold my breath every time Romo gets hit. It's scary

We have Romo for up to 3 more years
We have Dak for 4 years
We have EE for 5 years
We have Dez for 4 years
We have TSmith, TFred and ZMartin for 3+ years

We have DLaw for 2+ years
We have TCrawford for 5 years
We have Lee for 3 years
We have BJones for 4 years
We have JSmith for 3+ years(hope hope)
We have OScan for 4 years
We have Bailey for 5 years

Now is the time......we should bite the bullet and sign GHardy imo......zero tolerence, but we need help at DE/DT
I would try to work Green in at RT
I would get Wilcox off the field
I would trade for a MLB/SAM

Definitely some promising stuff to look forward to. But plenty of concerns, too.

Crawford is nothing special, in my eyes. I'm not even sure he's a "red chip" player, in the old Joel Buchsbaum parlance. Lee is great when healthy, but that's a big "if," and he's probably getting close to passing his peak. Jaylon Smith counts for nada until he can physically play, nevermind play well.

We desperately need to upgrade the front seven, we need speed at WR, and it's time to entertain who's going to replace Witten. I'm not saying this year, but while he's still effective, he's a shell of his former self.

My .02...

NO actually you are way out of focus. This needs to be Daks team going forward and never look back. For any guy to sit there two weeks in a row and not be drooling over Dak is totally ridiculous.
You shouldn't drool over any man. ( unless you just want to)

You are totally underestimating experience. Romo will let Zeke reach his full potential.

Defenses have been focused on Zeke thus far, they will get to Dak sooner rather than later. It's a good problem to have.

Dak is not Romo yet. Romo would have totally demolished the Giants.

Or stifle his development and ruin the momentum he's building.

I think we need a joke and some levity to this Thread so @Idgit i think you should create some safe spaces for people to retire too :lmao::muttley:

This thread is entertaining though

A lot of good info and some good points as well :yourock:

Listen guys, Dak has been pretty good for a rookie. However he has been a bus driver and nothing more do far. Disagree if you want, but if Romo starts the season and throws for zero TDs and we are 1-1 everyone would be calling for His head. If Romo starts these first two games we are 2-0 and they would both be blowouts. Dak will be very good, but he isn't there yet.
