Norm raises some good points. And he is right on them.

A+ thread, love hearing Norm talk Cowboys and draft, just a gem for Dallas sports talk.

1) Zeke released to catch on with another is a lie to cover up him checking out, cowards should've cut him when he was ditching meetings.

2) I hope all the Dallas coaches leave and tell Jerry to take this job and shove it.

3) Jerry is setting the table to where coaches and free agent players will not want to come to Dallas.

4) Jerry doesn't care as long as the Cowboys are #1 on the Forbes list.

5) My wish is if Jerry wants to wait to get clout/hype that the media n fans focus on other teams still playing and put the Cowboys news on the back burner. :flagwave:

Boring topic.

Jerry priority list
1. Himself
2. Money
3. Winning

He dreams about winning his way. When it's winning not his way you can classify that as a nightmare.

You're talking about a man who owned a professional sports team and in his own words was miserable during a dynasty. That is the most damning thing I've ever seen in sports. People don't really appreciate how bad that is. Couldn't stand the winning didn't come with enough credit.

Don't ever tell me he's all about winning. That is pure BS.
This is the first I’m hearing of that . And if that’s true, why would a player, a coach, or anybody ever come to this franchise. Why are we even here. I don’t believe it. He wants to win.

No, Jerry Jones has never publicly stated that he is "miserable" about having a dynasty or that he doesn't want to win; in fact, he has consistently expressed a strong desire to win Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys.
Key points to consider:
  • Public persona:
Jerry Jones is known for his competitive nature and has often stated that his goal is to always strive for a winning team.
  • Criticism of his approach:
Some critics argue that Jones's desire to be involved in every aspect of team building, including personnel decisions, can sometimes hinder the Cowboys' success.
  • Focus on the brand:
While Jones wants to win, he also emphasizes the importance of the Cowboys brand and maintaining a high level of popularity, which can sometimes be perceived as prioritizing image over pure on-field success.

You keep missing the point. He does everything contrary to winning super bowls. And how in the world can you believe anything that crappspewer says?

Dude, you've already had this argument many times. Everyone knows that Jerry was not in charge for those 3 super bowls. That's why he and Jimmy split up, because Jerry didn't get the credit because he didn't deserve the credit as being in charge. Simple stuff.
Baloney juice one of those rings belong to Barry Switzer come on stop it they split up because Jerry said anybody could win a Super Bowl with his team. Can you get something right?

You keep missing the point. Jerry would love nothing more than to win a Super Bowl, it’s stupid stupid to think he doesn’t.

Not his top priority, no. But he does want to win...his way. He's a narcissist.
If he's not willing to put aside his ego for the sake of winning, then he doesn't want to win. It's just that simple. The logic dictates. You want to believe that Jerry wants to win, and Jerry may claim he wants to win, but the actions and refusals of actions prove that he does not want to win.

It's simple psychology as well. An alcoholic may claim they want to sober up, but if they refuse to stop drinking and get help then they betray their real intentions which is to stay drunk.

he thinks he is.

odd people seem to think be doest this in purpose.
This don't fly either since he has admitted that if he wasn't owner he would have long ago been fired as GM, but yet he still refuses to get the hell out of the way.

The difference is, he thinks he knows how to win. He's a narcissist, who can't accept that someone else would do a better job.

He wants to win, he just doesn't realize he's the problem...and no, I don't think he believes what he said about firing himself.

My mood may be influenced by the blizzard-like conditions we're experiencing. I think I'll make a big pot of beef stew comfort foof
So, 8-10 inches of snow last night (and, it is still snowing) and I am plowing to AC/DC's Highway to Hell.

My mood is far better - there is something serene about a blanket of snow covering everything - but I stand by my earlier comments about JJ's mismanagement of the the Cowboys.

"I would've been fired as GM from any other team."

Jerry's own words. Soooooooooo, you sure he thinks he's good?
Once again.

Narcissists say things they do not necessarily mean in order to get listeners to have empathy for them.

Yes. He said it but he did not mean it for himself.

Some people should consider stopping themselves from believing Jerry Jones thinks like them.
