CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
No doubt. If there's no change after this, it'll certainly be a less-entertaining offseason, and I'll be less enthusiastic about next year's regular season. I was forgiving last year. I could have been forgiving this year. But from everything I observed, the team and fans took Green Bay way too lightly. This team record is not indicative of what they became as the season progressed. Mike didn't have the team focused. For crying out loud, they were bickering and geeking out on the field out there—in a playoff game—like some dysfunctional family. Not what you want to see as a fan. In fact, the last thing any team should want to see. Yet, there they were.

That's what many fans fail to understand. It isn't usually the hot team at the beginning of the year who wins. The teams who are hot towards the end typically win more. The 2nd half of the season, and particularly the last 5 or so games, really matters more than anything. That's why I don't typically get worked up about regular season losses. I understand it's a long-game... Dallas just gets too high and too low, and buys into the hype whether it's negative or positive. They don't know how to tune out the noise, which is exactly what Love said the Packers did... That mindset stuff works, when you don't think you're too good or too bad and take every team as seriously as the next. Cowboys are living in the media.. and should just see it as a distraction, all the way around. Instead, they relish in it.

The media and fan noise surrounding this team does them no favors. Even the coaches get caught up in the fame drama. The coach who can best avoid getting caught up in that; the coach who can innovate and motivate on the fly.. that's the coach I want.
Yes,all true.
Then there's Jerald

McCarthy says, "we felt really good about the week of preparation."

"I think like anything."

I'm done listening to that line. I want Mike to be held accountable/fired "just like anyone else."

We need a GM bottom line. All of this is a result of Jerry. 30 years of failure and the same soft teams over and over and over. Would Jerry really hire a Harbaugh or Bellichick and MOVE OUT THE WAY? Or is he going to bring in another buddy coach who takes it easy and we end up seeing what we saw tonight?

Do you guys think McCarthy will be fired? That is as about as bad as it gets in a home playoff game at the 2nd seed. Horrible showing.

change the whole coaching staff, dak will get better
Fans said this last year. You're better off keeping Lamb, Parsons, Tyler Smith, Dlaw, and trading Dak or drafting a new QB.

My guess is some desperate team trades for Dak. I think it comes down to Dak and Mike... Both hold this team back. Dak could have turned the corner tonight... established a legacy or at least played towards that. Now, I wouldn't bet on him ever winning again. He's just too easily rattled out there. Either way, if you are going to keep a guy like Lamb, you need a coach who can help with the maturity issues we all saw out there.

honestly he is staying we have no hope
I don't see how you can keep him. When I woke up this morning, the only way I could have fathomed it was if Dallas got completely embarrassed, which is exactly what happened. At home. In our house. By a 7 seed.

Don't get me wrong. I respect the heck out of GB as a team. They're a true contender in my mind. But we still should have been more prepared to at least put up a fight. I knew they'd be tough. They weren't just tough, they rolled our arses out there.

It won’t matter. Jerry will replace him with another retread coach and we will waste another 4 years.
