The best part is Jerry is likely gonna sit on this for like a week before he does (or doesn't) make a move.
It would be prudent to give such an important decision a reasonable degree of reflection and thought.

Although I don't think it will take an entire week.

Mm did a good job as a whole that could allow Dak be the best he can be but Dak will start to regress after this season and MM can’t fix Dak’s bad habits.

Problem is that this was the Cowboys best chance to get over the hump and the whole team chose the wrong time to lay an egg.

I believe MM date with the Cowboys ties in with Dak. MM must sell to Jerry that there must be a change at QB and that he can groom him. If JJ chooses Dak, MM is gone.

They are never going to choose MM over Dak. Unfortunately.

Mike and Quinn have to go. Repeatedly underperforming in the playoffs is unacceptable. That's on the coaching. So Jerry, let the axe fall. Bring in Bill Belichick.

Mike should be gone, 3 years with little to no post season succes.

We see that is all he can get out of this team, time to move on and at least attempt to find a coach that can help with post season success.

As soon as Belichick or Harbaugh get here , Dak will start winning in the post season .
I don’t believe the head coach is the reason he’s not winning in postseason. He was 1-2 with Garrett in postseason. It’s something with him and the players around him. He and the team can’t handle postseason pressure. Romo had the same problem and every defense we’ve had the past couple of decades have choked in the playoffs.

I see your point but Jerry usually keeps coaches to long
It's not just coaches he keeps too long. He also keeps several "star" players too long and definitely is keeping the GM too long.

It's also an occupational hazard of being a Dallas Cowboy. No team in sports has so many expectations heaped & projected upon them. I think it takes a certain type of guy - either as a QB or HC - to bear all that. Aikman and Johnson - with their assassin mentalities - could. I don't believe Dak & MM can.

Jerry needs to set up a FO free of himself and Stephen. Of course, that won't happen. He can't tolerate the mere thought of doing so. He'd much rather fire a few coaches instead.

If a team can't get up mentally to play its best game of the year when it counts the most, its better that everybody sees that in a way that it can't be argued about or sugarcoated.

Three straight 12 win seasons don't mean anything if the team not only cannot win a playoff game, they are mentally never even in the contest.. Because all that regular season hard work is just to position yourself in the playoff tournament.

What I saw today was an entire offseason, training camp and regular season flushed down the toilet because nobody on the staff seems to know how to get a team UP for the BIG ONE.

If you’re serious at all about winning you have to get rid of McCarthy.

Someone has to be held accountable and unfortunately it will be him.

You know you aren’t getting rid of Dak and you know you can’t win with this coaching staff.

Time for change.

Belichick is a no brainer unless he wants control over personnel.
And that right there is why no matter who you bring in, the Cowboys will fail in the post-season.

Belichick would never come to Dallas because Jerry would never cede personnel control unless it involves building a new stadium or something else equally big.

What would be best for the team in the long run is take the cap hit NOW and flush Dak down the toilet and find his replacement pronto. He's far from the only player to flush though. There are several usual suspects that need to be jettisoned. McCarthy needs to go too, and likely so does Quinn. Sure, they do well in the regular season but the proof is in the post-season pudding.

Sadly, Jerry is reactionary and always waits too long. He probably won't even fire McCarthy until most/all of the good candidates are hired by other teams. We've seen this before.

Romo only won 2 playoff games with Parcells, Phillips and Garrett. It’s been the same issue with every QB and head coach we’ve had the past two decades. No matter how good we are during the regular season we fold in the playoffs. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we got our butts handed to us at home by a 7th seeded 9-8 team.

If you feel HC needs to be fired...post it in here. Vent away at the HC as he has deserved it today. Has been completely out coached.
We need a change, mm and dq is not them… team has no discipline and that had shown all season… another note is dak is not him. Period… deer in the headlights every pressure game…. He is not built for pressure…. All 3 of them..

Watched the thing with Colin cowherd before and the other guy in the show brought up a good point. You need to fire MM tomorrow. Cause if the eagles lose that’s two other places that are gonna be aggressive when going after head coaches.

Agreed, but Jerry never acts. he always reacts and usually long after everyone else has realized it. He'll wait too long and a lot of the better candidates will already have new jobs. How many times has he done this already?

Wow, what a total clusterfudge..............first 2 seed to ever lose to a 7 seed in NFL history...............cant run this thing back, just cant do it.

Fat Mike has to go and he has to go like f'ing tommorow.

If Jerry convinces himself to give Fat Mike one more chance next year, I might just be done watching these games.

I dont care if we go 16-1 next year and are the #1 seed, I would expect a loss in our first playoff game if Fat Mike is still here.

Dak has nothing to do with the way you feel? lol the team gave up when Dak threw that first pick. They were like here we go! He’s choking again I’m out!

I would not extend Dak after that performance, next year is the last year of his contract and you let him play it out.

I cant give Dak an extension this offseason for $50-$60 million a year when I get results like this in the playoffs.
