So I guess it’s true, Jerry just wants him in some front office position which is why it’s taking so long

My buddy just texted me that Garrett signed a 3 tear extension. He’s a skins fan so he was laughing and talking smack which made me think he want making it up lol. I’ve scoured all sources and see no such news,

hopefully my friend isn’t breaking the news lol but he’s making me nervous
He should be an X friend. Bad joke!

It's a joke/figure of speech. Christ.

There's plenty of talent on this team. You have 3 possible HOF linemen, plus a 4th who is elite at his position. You have a Pro Bowl RB, a Pro Bowl WR, a Pro Bowl QB. A defense that was still in the upper half of defenses in the NFL, even if it has weak points at safety and DT. And this was a .500 team in the worst division in some time.

I'm not comparing the 90s situation to the current one. My point was that Garrett never had to learn anything in the way of scheming to maximize success/overcome weaknesses, because he was observing the coaching of a STACKED roster, especially on offense.

Stepnoski and Newton both benched over 500 pounds. Allen's was 700.

The former players and coaches who praise him are guys who never played for him. And it's not just two. Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Jesse Holley, and Dez Bryant have all been very clear that they do not like Garrett. Wade Phillips made it clear he does not like Garrett. There's another former assistant coach I won't name because I haven't gotten his permission...he does not like Garrett.

Tony Romo publicly called out Garrett in 2008 more blatantly than any of the guys I named, but nobody even seems to remember that. It led to Garrett meeting with him privately to shut him up.

It's referenced here at 5:13 on:

I suppose you're going to say "The former players and coaches who praise him are guys who never played for him." was just a joke/figure of speech too. Hey less than a brainiac, former players and coaches ARE players and coaches who played or coached for Garrett. I do sit corrected about the 700 pounds for Allen. Also I googled this criticism Romo had of Garrett in 2008 and NOTHING came up on that so where's your proof on that. I did find that Garrett criticized Romo a couple of times. Garrett has never had 10 out of 11 players on offense make the Pro Bowl like Johnson did one year. Just give it up.

No. No they're not. The quotes I've seen are from guys like Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, and Darren Woodson. Not one of them ever played for Garrett. Two of them were teammates, but none of them ever played for the slimeball.

I linked you to a video where Laufenberg mentioned it. I haven't been able to find the quote, but I remember him saying that people don't understand how important the system is as far as teams winning or losing, as opposed to the players. It was one of the most scathing attacks I've ever seen a player make on a coach while still playing for him. There was nothing misty about it.

And again...how is it that you completely failed to comprehend my point about 10 out of 11 players on offense making the Pro Bowl while Garrett was observing the stacked 90s teams? Go back and re-read it, because I'm not explaining it to you again.

Another thing I remember reading while lurking here is someone mentioning Garrett handling "adversity"...think it was after the Rams win...and how that just proves he's a good coach, because a bad coach could never succeed with such incredibly "adversity."

To which I just want to say: Rich Kotite was the HC of the Eagles in 1992 after Jerome Brown died, and they went to the playoffs and won a playoff game.

Heard mike florio talk about it before on radio.

Said when Garret was a FA coach last time he got no other offers. Wasn’t even linked to other teams.

It’s also funny this time around he hasn’t been rumored to be going to any other teams (outside the BS giant rumors).

Jerry said Garret would be highly sought after? Just another way he thinks we’re idiots.

Makes you wonder where that “If Garrett were fired he’d be the top candidate across the league” nonsense came from that SI floated last Sunday

How much more are you going to make up. Babe Laufenberg did play a couple years for the Cowboys 1989-1990 when Garrett was not on the team as a backup QB. Garrett came as a backup QB THREE years after Laufenberg left and Laufenberg was NEVER employed by the Cowboys while Garrett was the OC or head coach. So tell me again what Laufenberg said while employed by the Cowboys under Garrett. Laufenberg had been the sports director and announcer for KTVT in Dallas from 1997-2015 but still color commentating for a Dallas radio station.

My prediction for today. Garrett fired. Stephen fired. Jerry steps down as GM and offers a public apology to Jimmy Johnson.
I'd hold off on that lottery ticket if I were you... not so sure it's your lucky day. Though I'd give my first born to have it all come true lol

That's what I've heard. But I've also heard that it means he's out as head coach here. It comes down to staying with the organization in another role, or trying to get a head coaching job somewhere else.

Then your a fool, total and complete fool

some will just let Jerry continue to crap all over them. Thank you sir, may I have another!? This is truly the crossroads for Jerry’s incompetent decision making. If Garrett stays, nothing changes!

This meeting today is just Jerry and Jason's book of the month club.

Both read 'Little Women' for the first time.
