The Truck I want

I have an Explorer and the only major problem I have ever had with it was a hose busted in 105 degree weather. I'm not saying it's the greatest thing on the road just that I am happy with it haven't had any problems.

I have an '07. It has been a great vehicle so far. We have taken it on 5 trips and it is very comfortable. The thing can turn around on a dime too.

That is without a doubt the worst reason to want the '09 model. That new front end is B U S T E D.

I'll take the power and improved fuel economy though.

To each his own. I like it better than the '05's.

DODGE RAM if you want a REAL truck. I frankly think all too many people by a half ton and really have no good reason to. I have just gotten (did it while I was on vacation in Sept and got a great deal) a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel.
Its my second (traded in my 99). I use it to haul my antique military vehicle and do other things you need a REAL truck for.
Stay away from Fix Or Repair Daily (also known as Found On Road Dead).

BTW....if your 99 was a REAL truck, you wouldn't have had to trade it in.

Eh... I wouldn't touch a Ford, especially a newer one. We have about 8 Fords in our fleet at work, 6 new (04-06) 2 older (95-98).

The newer ones have mostly less than 50K miles and all have problems. Starters, transmissions, and all kinds of electrical issues.

The older ones are a little better. Both have 150K+ miles with mostly just leaks as the main problems.

They've all been routinely maintained but still have trouble.

When was the last time OU beat a team with that kind of talent and not got completely shown up?

OU has a better offense but can they adjust if things don't go well? I know Florida can but I can't say that about OU.

How will Sam Bradford react if he faces a consistent pressure.

Playing in a conference like the big 12 that has horrid defenses hurts you when you step on the field against a premiere College defense like Florida.

OU turns into Tech / Mizzou when they face a team with = talent.

Defense wins Championships. Even Fake ones.

Dodge Ram's are nice trucks too. But the Ford F-150 is the best truck on the planet.

A chevy tahoe. I needed the extra passenger space.


I wish I'd bought an expedition instead though. TOO many things I hate about the Tahoe that I didn't notice before I bought it. Plus there's a few features on the expedition that would have really been beneficial for me.

I put 200,000 miles on my truck and decided that it was time to trade it in since the deals were so good. That cummins had another 200,000 miles in it but since I had spent the last 7 winters in upper NY the body was starting to go (partially my fault since I had not renewed the undercoating like I should have). If the deal had not been great I would have been quite content to keep it for a couple more years at least. Frankly a half ton is a yuppie truck anyway. REAL TRUCKS start at 3/4 ton.

Even though I like Dodges, your opinion about what a REAL truck is is about as valuable as your opinion on anything else you chose to share with us. Worthless.
