Completed 1 season in Madden, won the SB, and LVE was the MVP LOL.

Offseason is very close to previous generations, surprising-I know.
Free agency is done a bit different, which is nice. Players can now be swayed over if you have a franchise QB, big market, etc..

Just wish these greedy EAbuttholes would bring back RFA contracts. Not that hard. Restructuring should be in as well. Not sure if the cap rolls over or not. I doubt it.

I noticed a decent amount of trades too during the season. Derwin James traded to the Bears was the most surprising one. Some under 80 overall QB's got traded like Darnold and Jones(NYG). Handful of others but remember off hand.

The draft was a smidge different too. In the past if you ever looked at the prospects under edit you would see the draft spot they were expected to go +/- a few spots. This year it seemed like the AI knew when a draft class had a gem and would take them early. That, or there was a run on a few positions. Too early to say. Downloaded a 2023 class from the share servers.

Now that the 53 rosters are set for now, may reset the franchise.

I decided to rent the "newest" Last of Us from Gamefly that has been remastered for the PS5. I would never buy it again as I've played the game dozens of times. I want to see if I can see and feel a difference. If I get time tonight I will load it and see what I think.

I broke down and bought it AGAIN haha. I platinumed the remaster and even beat the game on Grounded+ which was one of the hardest but most satisfying gaming experiences ever. The game is in my top 10 and maybe 5 all time. Is it worth 70? Probably not but damn are the graphics and especially the cut scenes unbelievably stunning and the haptic feedback on the DualSense controllers changes the game. I love it.

I loaded the game, but after the file downloads and the other files needing to download I never got into the game. I'm at the very beginning with the first cinematic scene so I haven't gotten to see all the new bells and whistles. I'm glad you said there area a lot of cool stuff to look forward to.

Anyone play Jurassic World Evolution 2? Bought it for my six-year old son, but I ended up getting hooked on it more than him. Think of it as the Sims for dinosaurs.

It's lots of fun, but be careful, before you know it, you'll be playing for 3-4 hours without noticing it.

Also playing Lego games for the first time with my son. They're pretty cool and amusing as well. Just got the Star Wars and Jurassic World versions. Saw they had an Indiana Jones version...may just get that one for myself. ha

Decided to snag TMMT The Cowabunga Collection. Holy nostalgia. I thought maybe they'd remaster it a bit, or something, but nope. It's in it's original 8bit glory and even still rocking the 4:3 aspect ratio from those days. I do think it was a bit on the expensive side ($42 after tax) considering Shredder's Revenge dropped a few months back at $15 cheaper. Still, it's a great 90s package full of childhood memories. That alone made it worth the buy.

I jumped right into Turtles In Time and was just blasted with memories of being 11-12 years old. When you would stay up late with friends playing this game on the weekends. While it definitely feels aged, that's part of what also makes it glorious.

Edit: Also forgot to add, they added rewind on the game, much like you can do with Nintendo games on the Switch. I dig that. A bit of a cheat, sure, but I appreciate the option of using it if I choose to do so. :D

Ok my friends I really broke hard and destroyed my wallet today and got NBA2K23 The Michael Jordan Digital Deluxe Edition. My wife might leave me but the kiddos love me haha. I think im tapped out at games for now.
Great game. I love how in the different eras that they basically nailed most of the starting 5 and the courts. Nothing like playing in the LA Sports Arena with the Clippers and that center court logo and finally having the Great Western Forum naming rights.

Hey, as long as you don't spend a $1,000 on your MyTeam I think you did okay...some people really do go nuts on MUT/My Team.

Usually the same types who can't leave the casino unf.

If they had the multiplayer I would have dropped $70 in heartbeat as a preorder and danced naked in a popcorn maker as a display at a midnight release. I got the original wanting to see the single player that was so hyped up, but I did not expect to fall so deep into that multilayer after trying it out on a whim. Definitely one of my favorite multiplayer experiences. I was so disappointed to hear the remaster didn’t have it.

 Those are great. I actually think about that stuff sometimes when I play video games (what it would be like in real life).

On the movie Free Guy, there was a scene where Ryan Reynolds' character was walking through the city. In the background there was a guy just walking in place into a wall, much like an NPC glitching in a game. Made me laugh. I loved that attention to detail.

Preordered COD MW2 on Xbox, which gives beta access. Since Playstation gets exclusivity for the first weekend with the beta, I went out and snagged a beta code on eBay for Playstation last night. Had a few hours with the beta today. I'm liking it so far.

I wasn't sure about the game at first, but I found the more I played, the more it grew on me. I found the same with the maps. Wasn't big on the maps (at all) right out of the gate, but the more I played them, the better they became. Character models seem a bit smaller looking than previous COD games. Their movement also feels slower as well, but I'm ok with the pace.

Not huge on the Gun Smith or menu system. Seems confusing and convoluted. Plus, it's super hard to read the attachment stats. Hopefully they can fix that before the game releases.

The new perk chain is a neat idea. Instead of limiting you to a few perks, you can set up several and earn them as you build points. The additional equipment options are intriguing. They added a camera system that you could deploy and switch over to view. I found it pretty useful during Domination. I could set a camera near a flag and then tag enemies around it for my team. I could see the abuse for camping with them though.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the beta. With some tweaks and adjustments, I think this could be a good COD. I'm interested to see the full game and am happy I preordered.

Plus, I'm just a sucker for these stupid games.
