I would sooner believe it was the group that Daryl hooked up with rather than the governor.

The governor always seemed to "hulk-up" before he killed someone... there was always a trigger that got him angry. I didn't see any sort of that with this un-named group.

The problem I have with it being Joe's group that murdered the un-named group is that there was no mention of a possible connection during his time with Daryl.

Also keep in mind the group of dead bodies with the signs attached, also found by the new governor group, that hasn't been explained.

Good points.

Wasn't it the Governor though who killed the leader of the group that took over after the Governor killed Martinez? I don't recall it showing him kill him but it does show in in the lake, at the edge of the dock, as a walker attached to a rock in the water at one point.

Also you may recall from all the way back at season 1 they do things that they don't explain what happens really. Remember the family who doesn't go to the CDC with Rick and the rest? They decide to go somewhere else in search of more of their family. They've never explained what happened to them either and I suspect they probably won't.

Yes he did kill the temporary leader. He posed some questions to him, didn't like the answers and killed him... then tossed him in the lake.

This was after the governor group went back and found that the un-named group had been attacked, all killed and their loot ransacked.

That's why he killed the temporary leader.

I joked with some friends a couple weeks ago that they were going to shoot the entire first half of this season in that train car. Part of me actually thought that might happen. Glad it didn't.

What gets me is that they spent the whole second half of last season building up Terminus only to burn that mofo down in the first episode.

I think the buildup to Terminus had more to do with the people there and what they represent, then it did to the actual compound. And we're not done seeing Gareth and his group just yet.

Yep. And like they said on "The Talking Dead" Terminus was part of the last several episodes of last season so it's been a major focus for some time.

I wonder how much the need to get through the "being at Terminus" episodes had to do with the location itself. That is an active train area and the TWD folks probably only had a limited time to film there where they could control the environment.

One thing that has always lingered in my mind is the group from season two that was hinted at. None of the antagonists on the show thus far has really claimed the guys that Rick and Co killed at the bar. I wonder if that ever comes back into play.

I doubt it. It would be too hard to try and tie in everything the main group comes across. We know that there are other groups of people out there. Some good, some bad. Some big, some small.

I was thinking about that too Joe.

They could certainly have been the group that ransacked/killed the unknown group that the governor and his pals came across.

Nor do I think the group from season 2 was Joe's group, because last we saw of that group from season 2 they had at least one vehicle, plus from the kid they captured– there was a different demographic to that group than there was with Joe's.

Very true. I just wouldn't be surprised to see some of these past experiences brought up to day with new contacts.

There are things that I would like to see brought up again. Like, what happened to that family that split off from the group when they left for the CDC? Or Jim. I know they left him alongside the road, but I would have liked to see some closure with him. Did he eventually end it? (they did leave him a gun) Or is he stumbling along with the rest of the walkers? How about the woman that shot the Governor in the head? (her name escapes me) She was a character they focused on for a bit, then we never saw what happened to her during the big ending to the prison. Is she still out there? Did she die? She's the sister to the girl that left with Glenn and is with the group now. So maybe we will see her later on. Unless she did die and I just missed it, I guess.

There are other things I'm sure I'm not remembering right now. But they've thrown us little bones before showing things like this. Crazy Clara, the one that stabbed herself so she could be with her husband the head in a bag, was one of the walkers heading in to the prison when it fell.

I think Jim's ending was pretty much assured by either suicide or turning.

Now the family that split off... that would be an interesting follow up.

The woman that shot the governor in the head was killed/eaten by zombies... her sister said something to that affect to Glenn.

I was just going to point out that her sister told Glenn that one of the reasons she just froze where she was, and didn't leave the prison, was because she saw her sister being taken down and killed by the Walkers in the field. Her sister just stood there and let them get her after she killed the Gov.

Jim's ending was that he was just going to sit there on the side of the road and die. I don't believe he committed suicide, in fact I'm almost certain didn't he make them take the gun with them because he said they were going to need it? Jim stayed there to die and simply turn like his family had.

I have been wondering forever what happened to the family that split off in season 1 when they went to the CDC. They've never again mentioned them or hinted about them or anything which has made me think that we're just supposed to assume that they very likely died.

I would like to see them bring them up again.

Has the comic ever had anyone immune to bites?

To my knowledge, no.

The comic did have the deal, like with Hershal (Although in the comic it's Dale) where they cut off his leg to save him and had that work. But being straight up immune I don't believe they've had anyone with that in the comic.

I am wondering if the guy in the clearing that Carl wanted to save but Rick said no and the people that took Beth are not the ones that left the signs.

Episiode 5-2

Ahh.

It was OK. It was impossible to expect/have this episode to be as good as the 1st of the season.
