The Walking Dead Season 6-Episodes 9-16 *SPOILERS*

2 words for you producers/writers/directors.

**** YOU!

The entire episode was set up perfectly. The entire season was set up perfectly. Then they had to go and screw it up by putting a 6 month cliff hanger on what I believe is the single most impactful moment in the series. Just completely screwed the pooch. Of course people will talk about it for a few days. Then what? They can't recreate that initial feeling from that scene. And of course as tight lipped as they may try to be, rumors will start flying when filming starts and someone isn't around. It is going to get figured out. What a ****** way to end this season.
Whoever appears in a movie released this summer will give it away.

From the mouth of Scott Gimple on Talking Dead.

Question was: You did not reveal who Negan attacks at the end so why was that the decision?

"The end of the story is what people saw. When we reveal who was on the receiving end there, thats going to be the start of another story. The kickback effects from that, what it makes everyone into, how people react, how the world changes for everyone, That's the next part of the story."

Doesn't begin to change my opinion on it.

Also Robert Kirkman says people should be trying to figure out who it was because "there were some hints there."

Negan says if anyone moves pop out Carl's other eye and feed it to his dad, so that appears to leave out Carl and Rick. He also glances right at Carl and left toward Rick. If that is the case it is Sasha, Aaron, or Eugene.

I am betting Eugene.

I lost respect for the show. They chose to go with a cheesy cliffhanger ending and combined it with a Soprano's ripoff. They simply sold out to the commercial revenue as well. 30 minutes worth of content . They show has the viewership to do without the cliffhanger ending . They could have shown the person that was killed and had the show end with an exchange between Neagan and Rick to set up next season. When you are the top rated cable show , you don't have to use gimmicks to maintain viewership. I thought the show had more integrity than this. I don't care who got killed at this point and I am not mad about not knowing. I just think it was uncalled for. The scenes with Carol seemed more like a distraction than part of the plot. I simply expected a better quality season finale .

Sounds like a major character. I think it's Glenn, and the reaction he's referencing will be Maggie's continued emergence as a leader.

as much as i hate it, i can see him too.

as for the overall cliff hanger itself - that's fine when you had to wait a week...or even a month to find out - but 6 months? it's really a cheesy way of staying relevant during the downtime and to me, a ****** way to end the best season in awhile. also, it was supposed to be a good idea to add on 30 minutes to the show and maybe they did - but at least 15 minutes of that was pimping fear the walking dead.

i'll be back next season i'm sure. but it's returning to more of a sense of duty than a CAN'T WAIT!!!

about as good a way to put it as any. to me they killed a ton of momentum and i can only guess their idea was to keep people talking for the next 6 months.

I think the show is good enough that they just didn't need to handle this episode like they did.

So.... I slept on it.

I think you are right,

What did Negan say? Something about standing tall or taking the first shot very well? Sounds like a eugene thing.

I know they were leaving Eugene to drive the RV on his own while the rest of them went on foot with maggie but it seemed a little over the top with the goodbyes and thank yous for a split up. Seems like heavy setup for him being the one that gets killed and especially after he starts coming into his own.

Also, with Carol being gone with Morgan...seems like another possible setup for her to help out the group in some fashion ala terminus.

I won't know for 6 months...gah.

The episode was drawn out a little too long and the ending was not so great. Kind of stinks that they introduce such a fantastic villain with a dud of an episode like that.
