Thankfully we have this forum to vent our frustrations to fellow fans . And it’s fun to make jest of our very frustrating situation. Humility is good for the soul. It’s really all I have left .

And it’s not like we have any real control in the situation. Im going to watch the NFL regardless . And with equal TV revenue Cowboys are going to get their take either way.

I’m beyond despair and disappointed. And too old to march on Randol Mill Road. Good news is the next generation will live long past this awful nightmare with Jethro Ball. No guarantees but at least hope.

Makes sense, but the problem is that Jerry has stated that nobody can do his job better than him and unfortunately, he believes that statement.
Delusions of grandeur is one of the signs of schizophrenia. Could also be dementia. Take your pick.

But it's all wishful thinking, it's not based in reality.

I can wish to date a different super model every week, but that's not being realistic.

Why vent and waste energy on something that you know will not happen. The threads all state that there will be no change. But they keep expecting change.
Nope, I dont expect change,
Possibly things could get so bad Jerry might be embarressed into changing, but thats a long shot.
There is something beneficial to venting your frustrations.
We can agree to disagree, we are all wired differently.

That was the definition of an embarrassing loss. Fourth straight loss at home, where the Cowboys average giving up 42 points per game in 2024. A really bad smell is coming out of AT&T and the list of what stinks the worst when a football team loses this badly usually starts with the head coach, the QB, the coordinators, the players getting paid the most. And those people all stunk it up Sunday vs the lions.

But my fellow Cowboys fans, as frustrating as it was watching the lions absolutely embarrass us in our home palace, the worst smell coming out of the “stayjum” is not the players and coaches. The stink worse than a trash bag of rotten food sitting in the Texas heat for a week is coming from the owner’s box, where the oldest General Manager in NFL history sits surrounded by his entitled children. All with their lifetime contracts and a talent for refusing to hold themselves accountable.

So when you feel the frustration of another embarrassing loss, and a dim future for this team, try to remember that the guy who owns and runs this once proud franchise like his personal fantasy football gig has done all these things:
  • Hired all six head coaches we’ve had in the last 29 years since our last SB appearance and last divisional playoff win.
  • Hired eight different offensive coordinators and eight different defensive coordinators in that time.
  • Seen 9 different starting QBs in that 29 year period, two of which have earned top dollar at the time in Romo and Prescott.
  • Had multiple current and future Hall of Fame players on the team with none of them ever experiencing even one divisional playoff win.
The winning owners of the last 28 SBs all had this in common: They hired someone else to be their GM.

So the next time Dak throws a bad pick, the running game averages 2.6 yards in a game, Lamb quits on a route, the defense gives up over 40 points at home and over 500 yards, and the HC looks lost, just remember who hired ALL those guys. And remember he’s been in charge of everything from “jocks to socks” all these years.

The worst smell coming out of AT&T is in the owner’s box. That is the where all this started.
Thank you for being honest and truthful

We did Jerry, we did. And we thank you for that. So why not move yourself from that chair in 2006? I mean that's 10 years of failure in a system you don't understand after the last Superbowl win. But that last Superbowl win is still young and tastes sweet enough, nobody will blame you for trying it yourself for ten more years.

Now step onto that yacht and ship into the sunset. Oh and please tell your son to hire a GM, not taking up the job himself.

Anyone got a time machine?

It was really astounding looking at the differences between these two teams. Look at the culture the Lions play in. It really is the head coach who these guys play for. When is the last time we have seen that? Our team is a bunch of guys playing for themselves, now and then running to social media to tell everyone what they are worth and how they wanna be the highest paid player at their position. And guess what?? Here in Dallas, your dream can come true! If you're out for personal glory, yes, you can find it in the stupidity that lurks around every corner within this organization.

At a point, the score became irrelevant, and I was simply just in shock at how far apart we are from a team built and driven to win. I can't blame the players anymore. This is 100% death by the enemy within, at the hands of an old fool and with his bloated and even less enthused son waiting to take over.

I didn't like the last one because we didn't take the game seriously and I knew we were finished winning Super bowls. One more round of free agency and we were 10-6 the following year and then 6-10 after that. If you're going to let important players walk then you better replace them. He had no clue how to do that.

Great post Bob.

Prime example was Zeke getting more carries than Rico today. There’s no way the coaches decided to do that on their own. No no, even the most incompetent professional coach could clearly see that Zeke is washed.

And yet this week we have reports of Zeke discussing his role with “team officials”.

That Jerry stench you speak of is all over this situation too.

Nobody could convince me that Jerry didn’t meddle with the coaches about Zeke’s
Role. Then Zeke goes out and runs for a sweet 17 yards on 8 carries.
All his fault of course. Man did you see those holes? The pancakes were impressive. If only coach Jerry had played Rico instead.

Which important players? I don't wanna fight just need refreshed.

Zeke was horrid man.

I didn’t say it’s all his fault. But he is done. He doesn’t deserve carries because even though they aren’t very good, Rico and Leupke are better.

The good news is the other division teams aren't all that great so staying in the playoff hunt is still a possibility. That coupled with what should be a less difficult schedule in the future. Just trying to find something positive amidst the wave of negativity. I know, I know.

Folks a rebuild is nearly impossible with a $60mm QB. If they were going to be bold they should trade Parsons and Diggs to a contender. Maybe they get 4 high picks for those 2. It will help the awful cap situation too. This roster is going to have to be churned and young to allow for that Dak contract.

After the games in the NFL does the media surround the Ford Heiress in Detroit or Jeff Lurie in Philly and unless Woody Johnson fired coaches ten mins after a loss no one seeks him out . Bob Kraft in New England silent . That’s the problem in Dallas . The guy counting the “ jocks & socks “ wants to play NFL GM while owning the club .

George Steinbrenner for all his meddling as Yankees owner had a GM and if things went south guess what he hired a new GM .

You’re awfully optimistic . On the horizon SF Houston among others . Playoffs are meaningless when the cream of the league blows you out .

Embarrassment is hard for a guy who 12 years ago after an embarrassing loss at home was quoted as saying, “Embarrassed? In this stadium?”
