CowboyRoy is the resident poster boy for Dunning-Krugar. He doesn't have the ability to break it down for us. I think he has me blocked because he was tired of me kicking his *** on a daily basis. And someone pass along this post to him in case he doesn't see it from me.

On one hand I’d agree. But unfortunately Jethro Jone$ has proved rather convincingly in this disappointing and frustrating era that he can hype, promote and sell the heck out of hope. And it has handsomely paid the bills.

I mean if the team is having success then the individuals will too....Yes I am a Cowboys fan AND yes i get for the team to win these individuals will need to have good years...again not really all that hard to see. This team will not win if Dak or whatever other starters have bad years...

The answer is complicated, not the question, and depends on many factors. That is the education I was trying to show you. But like I thought, it was too complicated.

The answer isn't complicated at all. Because the answer is.....No one can adequately or accurately predict the future. And efforts to predict the future has nothing to do with knowledge...it's all guess work. So the only thing someone could offer is an assessment of this team and it's players. And even then it's just opinions and guess work.

I never thought this was the case. But I am warming up to the possibility. The arguments get so heated that it looks like there is genuine dislike or hatred for a player.

If you ever see me criticize a player, just know that I want him to break every NFL record there is if he's a Cowboy.

So true, I wish everyone would set aside their agendas and just pull for the success of the Cowboys.
I think Jerry as GM is just terrible, but I still want the Cowboys to excel anyway.

Exactly!!! heres the thing even with Jerry to me, I think he has been dead wrong on many things over the last century but as the owner of my team I want him to have success...and to be honest some of his offseason moves this year are not his norm and maybe we are seeing a change to holding everyone accountable for the product on the field. IF thats the case and he can get them back to winning I am 100% willing to forgive the past.

Hope has everything to do with it. Every player, coach, and fan hopes this team stays healthy....do they not? A healthy team is a formidable team. A healthy team is a lucky team. So for you to sit here and say hope has nothing to do with it is just out of this world, crazy.

I hope everyone stays healthy and I hope they prove themselves as real contenders this year.

Yes some are. And some just talk bad about a player or the team without outlining their reasons. If they really knew anything about football, they'd be able to accurately point out, why they think this player or this team won't succeed. Instead of just blindly pointing the finger.

This and now a new Pcker fan who likes the other teams in the north...very strange times, but matches those fans who have Cowboy av's and like the Eagles..strange times indeed.

We can all hope......but it is up to each individual player to do their part for the team to have a great year. That's when the constructive criticisms come, is when we feel they did not prepare themselves enough mentally and/or physically and instead hurt the team. Nothing personal . I am not looking to be right on any one player, but i do want that player to be held accountable for his part. I am still here because I am a DALLAS COWBOYS fan....regardless of who plays for them or who owns them.

It’s amazing how when a fan presents their take or opinion everyone wants to interpret it as gospel.

You don’t have to have a positive outlook to want to watch and hope for better results. There’s actually much less disappointment and if you do surprise more enjoyment.

I can still enjoy a movie if it doesn’t end well.

Would you watch it 78 times, bitterly complaining about it every time?
