I'm not sure what the protest is even about. I do notice where the actions are taking place.
***
Why don't the lead protestors with Goodall head to s.Chicago Ferguson etc. And use it to start to drop the black on black crime...there the problems are 25x the level of the next level.
****
Or is the focus on a level with money available ....is it really just another redistribution of property using a group of vis able sports athletes ?

White on white crime happens at a higher rate than black on black crime. So maybe they should go up to Massachusetts and try to drop that down as well.

And I don't care what they are protesting. It could be the most obvious and virtuous topic in the world and I would say the same thing. Find another time to do it.

There are a LOT of people upset by this...the NFL by allowing this is endorsing it.

They will suffer the consequences as a result, ratings drops and revenue drops.

"Find another time to do it" sounds like a great idea for the anthem itself. It wasn't all that long ago when it was played before the teams took the field. But the government and the NFL wanted to make it part of the show. Well, it's part of the show alright. Enjoy!

Which would be fine by me. Dont play it at all then. But if you are going to play it, they damn well better respect it

The people have spoken and it will only get worse.

I predict the Cowboys game will be unaffected due to Jerry's stance. If we have protests tonight...it may be all she wrote.

It doesn't matter what skin color you are, people living in depressed socioeconomic communities are exposed to incredible rates of violent crimes.

We should be focused on solving the poverty issue in America, not driving a racial divide.

I saw that Zeke "liked" an Instagram post by JR Smith (of the Cavs) about these issues and how all the protesting is justified. So I guess that sort of tells you where Zeke's personal beliefs stand.

But I'd venture to guess that Zeke will stand for the anthem. Probably doesn't want even more criticism than he's already getting.

I understand both sides. I understand the players point of view and their message(s). I also understand the negative reaction to the flag by fans/citizens. Ultimately I agree there is an issue and am perfectly fine with players taking action for what they believe in. However, I will admit I don't like the National Anthem as the venue.

They are employees on the clock and the owners have a right to protect their asset and tell them how they need to act to be in compliance with company policy.....kneel and your fired, do it on your own time, be respectful of this nation that has awarded you with a golden ticket....not a set a balls in the owners boxes(cept Jerry) try protesting on the job today, see how it goes....

The one common denominator and why all of this happened the past few days is the person in command. SOB? And calling out the whole NFL? I mean what did he expect? Definitely this!

They can kneel all they want on their own time. Knock themselves out.

Don't do it wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform. Period. The Consititution doesn't give them the right to protest on the clock.

This simple fact seems to be lost on "people like you".
How has that simple fact been lost on people like me? I don't care one or another so try again. If they stand I don't care if they don't I don't care. So again what's lost on me? I know your upset but hey this gives you a chance to repsent without represent what you truly want to my man. I think it's messed up you can't represent what you want so I don't think you know about me like you assume you do.

I was just using your words in my response. You lumped me in to a group of people I don't necessarily agree with so i thought you wouldn't mind if I did the same...

Kaepernick has been black-listed by the NFL. In many ways there is no need for him to filter himself.

Kaepernick can do what he wants, how he wants to do it. He can say what he wants on any platform he chooses. He can blame anyone he wants for the societal injustice he believes outweighs respect for the fallen.

That said: I could give two bird-***** less about Colin Kaepernick, his ideals, his message. Has any one individual in the history of sports- parlayed his ever-rising level of suck into such a mess. Credit him for finding a way to make MILLIONS of people forget how much he truly sucked.

Good stuff Colin.

yeah stupids that's it.....put down your mirror...they are employees

Only a stupid would reach so far as to squash an NFL players passive first amendment rights through "employment" language like being on the field in an NFL game is anything like cursing at your boss while you fetch him copies at a temp job.
