Prescot is an average QB at best. He's like a Packman Game when he going up against the bottom feeders, gobbling up those stats, but when he's going up against the elite teams in the league he NUTS UP bigtime! Hardly ever get's off his first read who happens to be covered like a blanket, when his second and third reads are running free like they're the only ones on the field. It's apparent now that Prescot is never going to lead this team to a SB and if JJ is okay with dying with 3 SB trophies then I guess we're out of luck.
Eagles not elite?

and the game is too fast for Dak.
I get it if a person doesn't think Dak is among the top tier of QB's in the league.

In fact, I don't think he is either.

But this comment is ridiculous.

It's not unrealistic to say he is a top 8-10 QB in the NFL, but the worst I can imagine anyone reasonably rating him is 10-12. He's top 10 in every QB category (some top 5) except total yards, and that's only because he had his bye week and several others haven't.

He likely would be higher in that if not for a couple of blowouts where the Cowboys went into a more conservative offense.
He processes slow! He doesn’t read the field well either. He needs to process faster before he can make that jump

At one point last week, I believe during the telecast but not 100% sure, they mentioned what the D coordinator of the Eagles said. It was basically "We have to keep Dak from being able to hit his first and second reads. If we do that, we'll be OK."

Pretty clear, they weren't expecting him to get thru multiple reads with efficiency.

He read the Schoon play correct you had an inside out clear on one side and an outside in clear on the other, they knew the blits was comming so the read is the Saftey..is he playing man (which would make the inside out clear (Cooks/Lamb) the hot or is he playing zone (he was and thats the outside in clear) Ferg and Schoon... Schoon didnt get in and TP didnt pick up the blitz thats what happened on that play..

He's had amazing success for someone so incredibly deficient in that part of the game.

Of course he isn't Mahomes or Allen or some others, but he is easily better than most QBs in the NFL.

So what do you attribute that to? Luck? Is he Forrest Gump?

Um...well....maybe not. Just not sure how many more takes we can do with the same people saying the same things using the same insults.

I didnt mean you shouldnt carry on with it. Maybe, just maybe....something new will pop up.

Dak is NFL’s resident magician. He can pile up some stats to make himself look efficient, but once you look at the actual game and dissect his play, you realize that’s all he has. Stats. He has Jerry right where he wants him!!

Last year ronnie and i....a few others, argued that tony would not be an effective blocker. That play shows tony frozen....didnt even glance over there. Even after all game seeing pressure.

Very disappointing.

He’s probably saying the same thing about Mahomes as they prepare to play KC in their next game.

Definitely one of his weaknesses and it's something that can separate the greats from just the decent and good QBs. But even the great QBs don't always make the right reads 100% of the time but they may have a combination of size, mobility/speed, arm strength, velocity, etc. to help make up for it (see Brett Favre). Dak doesn't have a lot of elite physical traits so with him, you get what you get and that's an Alex Smith/Andy Dalton-type of starting QB in the NFL.

And he is going to get a contract extension commensurate with those stats.

Don't get me wrong. Dak is a B+ QB. I feel he is a great leader and a hard worker. The problem I feel with Dak is that he has tunnel vision at times and most importantly he has it in the most crucial times. I don't know if it's the higher pressure causing it but I have seen enough over the years to know it's a problem. Here it is. For whatever reason he doesn't go through his reads and he doesn't always hit the receiver that is his best option. That blown up pass to Tolbert, Ferguson is wide open down the middle. That pass to Schoonmaker at the goal line. Man Cooks is wide freakin open and Dak never looks that way. He goes to the I guess the first guy in his progression and boom Eagles have the ball. And that's the difference from being good to great. The Bradys, the Manning's the Montana's and Mahome's make these plays. For whatever the reason, Dak doesn't more times than not. And this team will never get over the hump until that is solved. I hope like hell that McCarthy and Schottenheimer are going over it with Dak and telling him, "We've got to make these reads and hit the open guy." Don't get me wrong. I do like him. I do feel he's a good QB. He's just not great and that's what this team needs right now.
Funny, I just listened to a post By Jesse Holley debunking your very point of tunnel vision. He was sharing how you guys are doing a disservice spouting the garbage that you spout.

It was actually funny that your post came up while I was watching the Jesse post. Nice try though. Jesse Holley or you , who do you think has more credence ?

Now Off to the Ignore bin with you

Ahh, so it's by magic that he is a top 8-10 QB.

So, it must be a voodoo curse that keeps 20+ other QBs from leap frogging him.

I wonder how all this supernatural phenomenon would hold up if those other 20+ QB's were "dissected" the same way, or if the point of comparison being used to judge Dak by were something other than the top 2-3 QBs in football.
