This Just In...

Or maybe, and here's a wild thought, maybe the OP is full of crap and trolling for a response

But you're probably right
Someone here said they knew people high up in the a&m athletic dept. and Tommy Tuberville to a&m is a done deal.

I know the original poster's brother. He's very reputable.

He's just relaying info that Hurd was speculating to him. I am quite sure that several players are on edge given all the rumors swirling.

They get as anxious about the Draft as we do.

Everybody needs to calm down & stop shooting the messenger. Even if he's relying everything he heard via Sam Hurd correctly, it doesn't mean Hurd has it right nor does it mean MBIII has it right. Now if Tony Romo was the source THAT would be entirely different.

There's just too many holes in this story -- way too many -- for us to get so excited and upset. Was going to list all those questions which must be answered to lend legitmacy to the story but I got tired of doing that cause there so many.

Frankly, most of us want MBIII resigned but doubt we want to pay out huge starter money until we very sure he can carry the whole load; Jerry probably feels the same way so he's offered a 1 year contract so he can see how well MBIII does. If Romo had to show what he could do, then MBIII shouldn't be offended/upset if he's also asked.

On the other hand, we also gotta be realistic. If MBIII is asking for so much money that there is no way the Cowboys can resign him to long term deal & still resign Ware, TO, Newman, etc. what do you want Jerry to do? I love MBIII but not if it costs us Ware. OK, if we can still afford keep Ware, but not keep Newman, what then? Which of the following players do we part with to keep MBIII? You gotta pick 2 (3 if Hamlin & Colombo are the 2 you pick).

Ware
Newman
TO
Canty
Hamlin
Colombo
vet WR (Detroit's Williams, Cards Boldin, Bengals Johnson)

You guys that are telling other people to calm down need to calm down. Gosh.

Yeah, they are far more anxious than we are really, its their living. Believe me, I have been on the players side from a family prospective, and its not a nice thing. Wondering if someone will be drafted in your spot causing you to get cut is far more intense than arguing over the draft on a message board.

This is also why it is so hard to be related to a player, cause if you are into message boards and such, you always end up reading bad things from some idiot.

if anyone should be worried about his spot on the roster it's Hurd.

man i wouldn't listen to anyone who name is BEMYDADJERRY my house could be burning down and he could be telling me this and i could be watching my house burn i still wouldn't believe him.

Well? What is the cat saying? Inquiring minds...

I don't care what the cat is saying. Can the cat catch passes, or run with the ball?

Good questions!

I think there's a good chance the cat runs better routes than that loudmouth Hurd fella...just sayin.

lmao...I'm trying...but all of these people telling me to calm down is pissin' me off! :p:

I was watching the Cowboys-Packers replay this weekend, and as Marion balled over people on that second drive, Collinsworth exclaimed, "I tell you what, Marion Barber is the heart and soul of this offense". It's the truth.

I have to hope Hurd is talking out of his backside, but we all know how Jerry falls in love with players. More than sick to my stomach, I would throw up a lung if we lose the Barbarian.

It was just too good of an opening to pass up. ;)

On the subject of the thread, would Jerry Jones give up Marion Barber to get McFadden? If you believe the original post, then for some players the answer is....yes.

That being said, the Dolphins already have Brown and Williams, although both players are returning from injuries. While this type of rumor seems like the kind of thing that might run around a locker room, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I think the scenario is unlikely. We'll see.

my brother was just at a convention and spoke with SAM HURD...they were talking and SAM told my bro that he doesn't think marion will be back and that BP is gonna trade us for him....

i'll tell you what boys if we let go of the BARBERIAN i will be sick to my stomach....

he said jerry only wants to give him 1 yr and he obviously wants more......

This is completely made up. All of it.

I don't know. It sounds legit to me. Sam usually knows his stuff.

I highly doubt Sam Hurd knows anything about the Marion Barber situation.

that's what i was thinking.

why doubt the post and the topic.....is this not a cowboys forum for fans...you all need a reality check...i was just merely passing on some info from sam to my brother ...i really don't see what is hard to beleive...i have alot more but i will just hold it on to it....as for sam yes he is a class act.......

I have no prob with you posting it. I am sure you are telling exactly what was told to you which is what this and all forums are all about.

I was just making the point that sam hurd it is a good guy and does not need to be bashed. Not even really about you.

On to the topic. It makes absolutely zero sense. Bill parcells would never give up the first pick in the draft for marion barber. It makes zero sense. He has williams and brown. He has a slew of 2nd rounders in a draft loaded with 2nd and 3rd round talent at running back.

maybe some players are thinking that barber will get moved, I just dont see any scenario where that would happen.
