This season is partly on us fans (including me)

Ur right...Philly and New York would have run Jerry out of town 15 years ago.

Our fan culture is very laid back (i.e. soft, and easily dominated by a monarch like Jerry)

ITS TIME FOR PITCHFORKS!

ITS TIME FOR TORCHES!

(But first, it's time for coffee and a donut hole)

*Kicks the donut hole* it's time we stop being so laid back as a fanbase. We've been in the NFC East for how long? And we still don't know how to be assertive as fans? Let's learn from Philly or New York! Let's learn how to be assertive with their team like they are with theirs. If Sirianni was here, Jerry would be coddling him. Meanwhile, in Philly, they're about ready to run Sirianni out of town. I live in Cleveland. People here are ready to pack Watson's stuff and drive him to the airport at a moment's notice. We can be assertive! It's time we learn how.

Absolutely not! I don't take any blame in any of this. No fans should. This is what a narcissist like Jerry does well. He deflects blame. This is all on the Jones family and how he has slowly turned this franchise into the Browns/Jets in terms of on the field success. And actually, the Jets have been to 2 conference championships since our last one.

Also, for a ton of these seats, corporations buy these tickets and disperse them to their people. Those are going to be bought regardless. Also, there is a big portion of fans who will go to games regardless because they like the experience, win or lose. They don't get caught up in the day to day activities of the team or follow them extremely closely. They have been fans all their lives (usually passed down from family) and will always be. Dallas is way too big of a brand currently to have half empty stadiums. Also, season ticket holders sell tickets to opposing fans on the secondary market for way over face value to recoup their season ticket money. That's why there is always a ton of opposing fans here like for the Saints and Lions games. And this doesn't just happen here. Tons of Dallas fans at most road games. They sell them to our fans for way over face value.

That right there is what I'm referring to. The fact that our fans are more willing to quit on the team, which breeds what we see. Obviously, we aren't responsible for the team sucking, but maybe we are ALLOWING it because we're so passive of a fanbase compared to the rest of the division.

If the team sucks in Philly, they don't quit on them. They get hostile with their team. The Giants are furious with their team lately, and they make it clear. Maybe it's time we learn from them how to be assertive. The players will respect it.

Players care about one thing, their salaries. This is their job. Do they want to win? Sure, they are competitors. But this isn't a hobby like it is for fans. They get paid. How the fans react to the front office/owners doesn't phase them. As long as they get paid, they are good.

Quitting on the team is absolutely the best course of action. We don't owe these people any loyalty. That is the only way owners wake up. Half empty stadiums, less merchandise sales, etc. Being hostile and trash like Philly fans aren't going to make anything better. NFL is a business. Talking with your money i.e. stop supporting financially, that is the #1 thing the owners will see.

I'm not saying we are at rock bottom. But, we may have allowed this situation to fester a bit. The fact that the weaknesses were as obvious as they were entering this season and weren't addressed is why I've been angry. And I'm basically saying, we play in the NFC East, let's act like it. Let's not let it get to rock bottom. Unlike Jerry, let's show some initiative as fans.
Am I having the Kansas City Chiefs ever replace their hurt wide receivers or running backs how about the Philadelphia Eagles did they make any big moves this year 2 moves are made in the NFL and all of a sudden it's all Jerry's the only one not trying to improve their team..

I'm just saying some of these posts while I understand the blowback we're getting after the loss it never makes any sense you all don't ever look at the all 32 teams and then judge Terry by it you're judging Jerry by the top three teams in the league I mean there's a whole bunch of teams that don't make moves throughout the year they don't do anything at the trade deadline and they truly live below the mediocrity line where we don't live below the in the regular season..

That's all I'm saying so the New York Jets bring over devante Adams that was expected that's where he wanted to go he was not going anywhere else because if he had really wanted to go somewhere else why didn't he go to the chiefs I mean the Philadelphia Eagles lost three wide receivers the first month of the season they made zero moves oh and then the other team yes the Buffalo Bills bringing over amari Cooper who's now on his fourth team he's not been an impact player in a long time and maybe he will fit in there great for him great for them that's two teams in the AFC but the big one the Kansas City Chiefs they're supposed to be the cream of the crop they lost a lot of wide receivers and they all they do is nothing and they bring in Kareem hunt you think Kareem hunt is a bigger addition than us elevating dalvin cook maybe demoting Ezekiel Elliott making some moves and get this we get all our players back by game 9 right I mean everybody who's hurt right now is coming back by the trade deadline isn't that like adding and I get it when they were here we weren't playing well against the Saints we had a relatively healthy team outside of bland...

But back to your point fans have no impact this ERA of sports they're gonna fill up stadiums and they're gonna buy jerseys and somebody supporting the team so how are you saying that we're enabling Jerry Jones is so far from the truth there's not a lot that can be done until we truly hit rock bottom you wanna start having guys go to the stadium and wear bags on their head the old paper bags used to happen with the old Browns teams you want half filled stadiums that might happen if we were truly bad...

That's gonna take more time than to start a 500 team at the beginning of this year you realize that right we have to be the Cleveland Browns in order for that stuff to start really happening..

These Internet protests and most of the stuff that's written in the Internet Jerry doesn't see this I'm reading some of these posts and they're saying they're letting Jerry know through venting I read something yesterday I think it was Hawkeye he's saying he's making it clear to Jerry by being negative all the time that hes upset and protesting, Newsflash!! Jerry and the FO don't read these things nor does he care.

Well, what I saw in his comments on Sunday and yesterday is a man who can't take criticism well. I see a man who is desperate knowing that Death's Whistle is starting to become louder in his ear. So, I'm saying it may be time to give him the Philadelphia or New York treatment.
It doesn’t matter to Jerry he’s not stepping down because it’s his way or the highway if you don’t like it. The dynamics of the organization is different than any other team, the owner just fires the GM or the HC or both a fans have hope not in Dallas the GM is for life and the team is successful in the owners eyes just look at revenues, Jerry has said he would fire himself but it’s not happening. As for Jerry not liking the criticism did you really hear what he said, basically he is saying he knows better and only 1 team wins the SB and if you’re so smart go and get a job at a NFL team. You don’t know crap in Jerry’s view of the world it’s no different than Nero fiddling while Rome burns. Life is good for Jerry he comes in when he wants and plays GM, HC, scout, face of the franchise and he’s happy because nobody can take his toy away. Just look at posters here defending him. The more Jerry is pushed the more he will push back.

Assertive how??!!! is the New York Giants or the New York Jets fans effected their teams that have lost to Our GM /owner a clown show as you put it like 11 of the last 12 games..sure those fans sure are impacting their teams. Hey news flash you know those things that fired several GMs and several coaches as have the truly bad teams over decade and not helped ONE BIT. Some moved states, changed their names and still not changed a thing ..

this false sense fans impact this sport anymore in the way you are describing is false..

Many of us have been saying this for years. With all due respect this is not a New Concept. The problem is the sizeable number of fans who will berate you and call you a fake fan and go tell you to find another team when you say stuff like this. They are the principal offenders that have enabled Jerry and this Fiasco by defending everything blindly instead of boldly telling the truth.

They know who they are and they should be ashamed because you are correct they are 100% complicit and they bear some responsibility for this

I agree that we don't owe them anything, but, for those like me who still have a lot of passion, maybe it's time we (specifically those in Dallas) start behaving more like Philly fans towards our players. We think they only care about salaries, but it might be a shock to the system. This would basically be a last ditch effort as a fan base to try to course correct the team. A desperate measure for a desperate time.

By getting as loud as the stadium as possible voicing our displeasure. I'm not sure if it'll work, but ******, I am tired of seeing us get dragged through the mud. I want us in the NFCC or better.

The thing is, it's ironic that it's considered being a fake fan when I'm literally describing how Eagles and Giants fans treat their teams. Nobody would question their loyalty to their teams. Maybe it's time we learn what they do.

Well that's one's personal preference if you decide to do that be my guest... I'm saying that the things we say in here all over social media everything that's being vented everything all the feelings fans have are not reaching Jerry Jones in the way you think it might impact him many teams go through this or worse and they still have fans show up and they still have fans fill up stadiums and wear jerseys and root and fight for their team literally they have fight they have pride, you know..

look it's one thing to be upset voice your displeasure be angry.. It's another thing to turn on your team when we say we have pride and fight we're usually fighting other fans, their fan bases we iteract that way all the time online at games we dont take chat....

So now I gotta come into my own allegedly safe space and have these same conversations with our fans... Look I get it 100% and it's displeased and upset as anyone else... But just make sure you're not delusional these things are not reaching Jerry Jones it will take a lot of really bad rock bottom seasons is what I'm saying for fans to truly be that upset..

By the way you know this starts with the league right why they keep putting us in prime time I'm tired of all the late night games and we gotta watch these**** shows and go to bed late or like the other night on Thursday we didn't get done till 1:30 AM..

So yeah it's a slow process but it starts with the league start making the Dallas Cowboys no longer relative by not putting him on any primetime games next year, if they flex the games into spots that are not relative yes this might impact them if they start having people not asking the Jones family for interviews and what not... If people stop talking about them you don't realize that even the negativity there is no bad publicity that's all they talk about on all the sports shows and all the content creators all over social media they have the Dallas Cowboys front and center//

the impact you're looking for could take years and it's gonna start with the league and it's gonna start with the media the fans are not gonna have any impact because any fans giving up their spots at games there's another fan ready to go to the games people like to be entertained this is an entertaining sport whether you love the Cowboys hate the Cowboys or why you're going to the game to see your team or the Cowboys it's like spending a ton of money to go to the movies or to take trips and go on vacations and have hobbies this is entertainment someone will be taking your spot when you sell your seats or you don't go to the games so it could take years for a process to play out where we have to be truly bad the league would have to put their foot down and the media would have to put their foot down 1st and start making Jerry Jones feel inadequate the fan base is not gonna do that time soon you can't protest that big from behind your phone or your PC.

I take zero responsibility for this mess. The team never takes my advice on draft picks, trades, or signings. So, how could I be at fault?

For sure, but, for me, I'm not turning on the team. I'm just trying to rethink my approach.

I just mean more collectively from how we approach the team. Maybe, when at games or what have you, we are too passive. Maybe it's time we rethink how we approach the team without letting Jerry rob us of our passion.

The home games are a joke. The one exception being the playoffs. But regular season home games are mostly spectators on corporate junkets or opposing teams fans. The tickets are so obscenely expensive that even well-to-do season ticket holders have to sell a few games to offset the cost. Jerry priced out the average cowboy fans years ago. He doesnt even want them in the parking lot as he doesn't allow it to open early enough to tailgate.

Is that not what the Walmart parking lot is for? Though, you do have a point with how he's priced out the kind of fans I'm talking about that would give the team the old Philly treatment.

Cuz maybe Jerry doesn't care because he doesn't think we care enough. Maybe he behaves in this way because he doesn't think we will react. Maybe if we start giving him the Philly treatment, it causes a shock to the team. It would shock the team if we start behaving like Philly at times (minus fighting people and bullying opposing fans).

Wait...wait.... I just saw a message from Dak saying they had a team only meeting and that the team has decided to turn things around and start winning.

We should be good now.
