Three guys that impressed you, three guys that didn't.

I liked what I saw out of Escobar. He really looks like the next Tony G. to me...

He didn't fall down, he went to the ground to try to get to the ball that was coming in a few inches off the ground. It was a bad throw.

From
The replay he had stopped and tried to come
Back for the ball and slipped. That's how I saw it.

Liked: Frederick, Escobar, Cole Beasley

Dislike: Arkin, Selvie, Randle,

I'll have to disagree with you with Frederick and Arkin. I thought that while Frederick looked good at center, he looked pretty bad at guard and almost got Tanney killed. There were a couple good runs behind Arkin and he was solid in pass protection.

What was wrong with Johnson's play?

IMO, his play was mostly good. He was a pretty sure tackler. The play he got hurt on....well, I'm not sure what the coverage was, but he looked out of position to me. Wilcox let him go...and Johnson was late coming over. I need to watch it again, but that's the way it looked. Both the young safeties looked rough to me.

It's a first game....so, I'm willing to chalk it up to jitters. I expect both to really improve each time out.

More than anything...I'm just disappointed that Johnson can't seem to stay healthy.

He is healthy.

Selvie and Randle did well. What did Beasley do well?

Lots doggin on Arkin, why the hate, probably his best game as a pro.

That was his best game. And he still sucked. He's got no power whatsoever. He is what he is, a nice "try hard" type player, but will never be a starting caliber player.

Liked: Selvie, Hollaman, Tanner

Not so much: Weems, Johnson, Coughman (I think RBs are still running up his back!)

Very much!

1.) QB Stephens
2.) RB Tanner
3.) DE Wilber

Not so much...

1.) #31! who ever that was
2.) Beasley
3.) #41 the Safety Hamilton

Pellerin, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that was going to noticed #31- Micah Pellerin - CB
He was horrid!

What was so bad about how he played? Did he give up any sacks? Tackles for loss? I thought they had good success running behind him.

He was not "Horrid". He actually had quite a few good plays. He wasn't perfect, true, but there's a reason he's a guy fighting for a roster spot.

Quit relying on stats and actually WATCH him play. "Hmmm... let me look at the stat sheet... I see no TFL or sacks given up so he must have played well". Give me a break, the guy plays the game on roller skates. I appreciate his fight, but he's not any good.

Impressed me...
1) Selvie
2) Wilber
3) Frederick

Impressed me not...
1) Beasley
2) Wilcox
3) Weems

I tried to avoid mentioning camp bodies who aren't like to make the team.

I was impressed with the line play, especially on the defensive side. Reserves such as Selvie, Wilber, and Bass have performed well both in camp and the preseason game. If they can carry their play over into the regular season, the Cowboys should boast a strong defensive line rotation to go along with the a good starting four.

I did watch the game. He played well. There were several big runs behind him and he was solid in pass protection. Do you have anything to back up what you said other than, "He plays with no strength" or "He played on roller skates"? His performance speaks louder than your conjecture.
