I usually post a recap, but am limited on my time right now. Maybe I can later or tomorrow. But by them the call is usually posted on the Cowboys website to listen too.
I took some notes, so if no one recaps it by tomorrow, I will, or add my notes if a thread already started.

Garrett also said, too early in camp, same for DL, to say any player stands out over another. but that is coach speak, from any coach.

Leary, can not be this good. Is Collins playing out of position, like he should be challenging for RT, or is he not that 1st rd talent, that he was suppose to be? I think Leary is good, but someone who was going to be a 1st rd pick, should be capable of beating him out.

Collins is a rookie. A rookie offensive linemen at that. Leary last season was a very good guard for us. Expecting Collins to take Leary's job was like expecting Gregory to take Greg Hardy's.

Garrett said McFadden doing some drills in cleats, some running and cutting on the sidelines. He is making progress, hopes to be back soon.

Randle, Dunbar McFadden, will not play in 1st preseason game, or very limited, probably not the 4th game either.

So a heavy dose of Seastrunk. Let's see what he can do.

I see bust potential but I'm not too concerned since he won't be asked to start right away.

Is that someone's else's opinion or an assumption by you. I can not and will not believe that the front office makes that call. The trainers and the coaches makes that call 100% of the time.

The only reason the FO would make that call is if they were trading or cutting a player and wanted to make sure he was medical cleared so there won't be an injury settlement involved.

That is what was reported.

GMs definitely make those decisions at times.

Speed... Thank you.

Next year? When training camp is in Frisco, we will have plenty of Zoners doing play by play on Zone.

I don't know if the Boys are going to be ready for 20K showing up to watch practices in N Texas.

That's true and it will be really cool to see those turnouts but I have to say the crowds they get in Oxnard for being 2,000 miles away from Texas are simply amazing. Jerry knows how to market the brand that's for sure.

Are you referring to Collins? If so, the kid has had ONE week of TC practice. And it's not like his competition is garbage. I'm pretty sure Leary would be a starter for a number of teams. No, it's just a wee bit early to be throwing out the "Bust" label.

The crowds in Frisco will make it difficult for serious fans/bloggers to watch practice. It was bad enough in San Antonio.

Leary is underrated on this board. Ask JJ Watt just how good Leary is. Watt found found out the hard way. Collins should be spending his time learning the RT position. Free is getting up in age and Collins should have the talent to replace him in a year or so.

Leary looks better than ever out there, he's comfortable, fluid, not lunging, over powering and precise...really turned a corner he's about to dominate.

To me, Leary was borderline Pro Bowl caliber last season. Dallas wasn't too far away from four Pro Bowl linemen.
Doug free was solid - but never considered Pro Bowl material. Parnell filled in admirably in Free's absence. Weems, Green, and Gibson have their hands full.

You need to watch some of the practice reps available. Huge difference between Leary and La'el right now.

Many of the local media are at TC and the radio shows broadcast from there. They tend to have good info that does not always make it to articles/blogs.

McFadden really wants to return to practice but Stephen Jones prefers to keep him on the PUP until he is 110%. It appears that Stephen and front office types are holding McFadden out while some coaches are pushing to get him back on the field.

Randle didn't show up for a scheduled interview. They teased the upcoming interview with Randle for several segments and then Randle didn't show.

As the Cowboys flagship station, guys from the Fan have access to the practice video (the coaches video, not the stuff that we get to see) and a guy that spends a lot of time studying it had some good observations. He said Collins needs work and that Leary is a beast. The chance of Collins beating out Leary is very near zero in his opinion. He said the praise that you hear about Tyrone Crawford in not hype and that Crawford looks terrific.

Collins needs work. :omg:
Somebody call my lawyer.

Bingo...that is what I thought also when I read that. The FO has no business telling coaches when or when not a player can come back to play!

That is what the doctors and trainers are for. So, that seems to not make much sense if true.

It's true. Business, or no.

Man - I read where Stephen has said "WE" as in the team, not us as in the front office. I also heard the same thing out of Jason's mouth. There is no FO vs the coaches on the call when he returns to practice. It's the coaches in conjunction with the trainers who makes the call. No matter what you say, heard, read or want to assume Mr. Corso!
