Tight End Speed

I think someone was claiming last year that Witten still ran a 4.65. I was skeptical.

Swaim, Schultz, and Jarwin all around 4.7. Rico is slower. We're not getting speed out of our TEs. And I can live with that.

SWAIM RAN a 4.67 coming in 2015.

Witten was slow but would have been fine if the Cowboys WRs had a lot more speed.

Dez was very slow in 2017.

Beasley is very quick but his speed didn't threaten defenses either after the catch or deep.

TWill was faster than Dez but has very average speed for an NFL WR.

Replace Dez with Randy Moss in his prime and replace Beasley with Tyreek Hill and Witten would have been good enough to play a few more years.

Whitten just a good route runner with full tree when came in, waz never blazing..you dont have to be if you run tight routes.

No..not now..

Twill 6-2 4.5 Runs okay routes, decent blocker but nothing more than a avg 2,in production..less last few years likes the comeback route!

I know alot of fans want shultzy in there but Linehan and Garrett both dont like using rooks..i know shultzy smart football player but they wont rush him into snaps unless they havd to..swaim will start, and Jarwin will most likely be the other tight end..RICO if he blocks better will get snaps in rotation but his blocking is suspect..he is just ignorant enough to blow an assignment and wonder why he is getting *****ed at! THEN catch a td..

 The TE acumen of the posters in this thread is at an all-time low. The Cowboys will be just fine with their "TE speed" this season. It's not a pressing issue. Rico is 4th on the TE depth chart so his so-called,"speed" must not be all that great of an asset.

I think i said 4.75 to begin with..his blocking is his issue!

How many tightends run less than a 4-6 in the league? Maybe 5?

I didn't acknowledge you said anything about him. The thread is titled "Tight End Speed" so that's why I mentioned it.
Its cool..I just bring the knowledge, i cant make you drink it!
