You're not clear but I'll do my best to try and clear things up for you. Dez has only played 3 games with Dak so he's being admonished due to his lack of production starting from the 2014 playoffs through the 2016 season. Dak isn't going to target Dez as much as Romo because he has trouble getting open and Dak has already said he's going to throw to the open receiver. Our 2 best games of the season were without Dez. Dak doesn't need Dez to be an efficient QB. Beasley may end up having more production than Dez from this season on because he gets open and moves the chains.
There is no such thing as open in the NFL......QBs have to throw to covered guys and trust them to make plays or throw guys open as they say

Beasley is left alone underneath a lot because teams don't worry about that as much

You're qualifying these great games as you see fit. First you mentioned the 100 yards as a rookie then we brought up the 100 yard game he had this year and you call it ho hum. Dak didn't throw a td at all until his 3rd game and threw it to *gasp* Dez Bryant. And you cant straight up compare Dez with Julio and Odell when we run way more than they do. We're not a passing offense

The 100 yard game Dez had vs Washington was ho hum, not one highlight play and I believe he may have had a drop. The 100 yard game he had as a rookie, he had a great 46 yard play in that game and scored a TD. He even had a longer play overturned by replay in that game. He had "game changer" written all over him as a rookie but in what should be the prime of his career it's starting to look like his best days are over. Dak could have had a TD pass in the first game if Dez would have held on to the ball through the contact of the ground. That score that was overturned helped cost us the opener. You're saying the Cowboys running the ball more is why you think Julio and OBJ are more productive than Dez and are able to take over games and he's not? lol I got news for you not many teams ran the ball more than we did in 2014 but that didn't stop Dez from having a career year with 88 catches for over 1300 yards and a franchise record 16 TD's did it?

Not many teams in history ran the ball more than the Cowboys in the early 90s but that didn't stop Micheal Irvin from having a HOF career did it? Go look at the numbers Irvin put up in a run oriented offense. Dez has played his entire career with a pass happy QB who's broken just about every franchise passing record there is and he hasn't come close to the 1600 plus yards and 111 catches Irvin had in 95. Irvin had 3 seasons that were more productive than Dez despite playing in a heavy run oriented offense that featured Emmitt Smith. The excuses some of you come up with for why Dez isn't producing is hilarious. He doesn't have the speed or the ability to separate like Julio and OBJ, they're able to run away from defenders try watching their highlights. OBJ had a bad hip and still put up 222 yards a couple of weeks ago. When you watch Julio, OBJ and Antonio Brown you realize just how far Dez has fallen the past 2 years.

Beasley isn't left alone he's hard to cover because he's so shifty and quick. Just watch the tape, it's hard to stay with him. It's difficult covering smaller slot receivers that are quick and can find seams and soft spots. There's open in the NFL and Dez doesn't get open a lot which is why he has to make so many contested catches and is known for jump balls.

Beasley does have some slick moves! He worked hard in the off season w Randy Moss too. Kudos to him.

He's been hurt recently, so that's nonsense about him not producing. Injuries happen. And I could not care less about any sideline antics just because butthurt old media hacks talk about it and Landry era dinos care. His teammates love him. They are not the same at all. His "legal troubles" are years old and were misdemeanors, some of which he wasn't even charged with, so who gives a F? He's a vital piece to this team taking the next step, and I for one am ecstatic that he's back now.

You are the dino...old before your time.....your statements are caustic and inelastic.

"I don't care about any sideline antics..." (absurd black/white statement)
"His teammates love him." (presumption and generalization)
"butthurt old hacks...Landry era dings (bigoted Archie Bunker style ageism)

I already said I'd give Dez a clean state...

I will be ecstatic when--and only when-- Dez proves that he's he's vital...proves that he's taking the next step.

Since that contract was inked.....

22 games have passed
42 receptions
551 yards
4 TDs

He should be fully healthy now. It's time for him to prove he's in the elite class of receivers in the NFL.
he still is one of the best i cant believe people are slamming him

Dez needs to make more headway in the area of improving his routes. Despite the fact that he has improved to some extent since he arrived with the Cowboys, he is steadfastly about average at best in that area of his game.

In improving there, he would likely increase the number of targets that he sees coming his way. Anytime a WR with limited speed is unable to gain separation, doing so via crisp route running, combined with consistent route accuracy is usually the surest alternative.

I believe there's an foolproof chance he'd help his own cause significantly if he decided to concentrate more in perfecting that part of his game. Chances are, he would ultimately avoid disappearing for such long stretches in the process. Dak would quite likely respond well to that.

And a few of those he wasn't really healthy
Not too worried about dez with a real qb playing. In fact I expect a big game this week but there is much more competition for the ball as Beasley has earned his share for sure

I agree Dez likes the Philly match-ups on prime-time. Beasley could play big role as Eagles lost their starting slot DB for year.

"If he doesn't produce Sunday night the injury excuses will continue"

"With Dak at qb Dez won't be targeted as much"

Got it

You're a gem

I see Dez's quickness slowing a bit. I believe speed and quickness of our receivers helped immensely in the GB win. I hope Dez comes back with some speed and if he does, he'll be awesome.

the teams dependency of him has gone down so much that it shouldnt matter if he has a big game or not anymore and i love that

I disagree. Players with big play capabilities especially at WR can add another element to an already good offense. I do agree that they are not depending on him to the point they are dead in the water without him but Dez playing his best can make this offense even more potent.

To me that is like saying we don't need a top pass rusher since the defense is keeping teams under 20 points a game.

He was, but is he still? He'll be 28 in a few days, and receivers get old fast. Especially those that are constantly hurt.

Dez benefited a lot from the number 88 and the comparisons to Michael, but he's always been a very good player. He was elite when he was catching 16 TDs or whatever in a season, but he hasn't sustained that level of play. There still ought to be no doubt, though, that he's a special player and a game breaker when he's on the field. And the apparent dislike for him from a statistically significant percentage of Cowboys fans over things like rental agreements and kitchen accidents is just weird.

I think he's a top five receiver......when Romo plays.

Romo throws him open repeatedly. He knows EXACTLY how to use Dez and what his strengths are. Other quarterbacks seem puzzled at how to use him because he doesn't get open with great routes or speed.
