This was actually the quote from last night. So, in the context of things:

Yesterday Jerry has the interview.

He goes to the owner's meeting.

He exits the owner's meeting and give this interview yesterday. The speculation by 105.3 was that Jerry was still in the bubble and didn't realize how badly he came across yet.

My thoughts? Jerry doesn't care how he came across. If it gets too hot, he'll just finesse the guys and wink.

It's not a story that a rich powerful old man is stubborn and full of pride.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refuses to apologize for radio outburst

“I don’t know that I would go as far as (calling) the volume connotation as yelling,” Jones said, via The Athletic. “But the facts are that if I’m going to be grilled by the tribunal, I don’t need it to be by the guys I’m paying. I can take it from fans and take it from other people. I take a lot of pride in how fair and how much I try to work with the media, we’re brothers and sisters. But I was a little frustrated there today."

“The wrong ones were doing the questioning. Now, if those had been real fans sitting there or if there had been people that knew what they were talking about, football people, I might have had a different answer.”

It's admittedly difficult to feel bad for Jones, but this is a new low.

Blinded by rage and embarrassment over the Cowboys' miserable start (this is a bad 3-3 team, folks), Jones laid waste to the narrative that he doesn't control the local media. Tuesday's interview along with his response gave the impression that he wants to dictate the narrative. Again, 105.3 The Fan is the flagship station, but Jones does not pay the station's work force.

If you think that the limit of his power and influence is whether he is writing a paycheck you are blind. There's the truth.
DC takes all commercial money while games are on. some would argue that Jerry bringing listeners over the past 3/4 years has dropped, Shan and RJ are in no way paid for by Jerry. He’s delusional

Those in power always dictate the narrative. Not sure what the problem is here, is nothing new at all.

This is BS. Years ago, he belittled a fan in the same way, asking if he liked those 3 super bowls. He’s a crappy human being.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
This is exactly what I was calling for the other day. All the media needs to start pinning him down on his horrific record.
"We're football people" may prove to be the stupidest statement in the history of the NFL.

Stevie is watching dad take a billion dollar franchise back down to a million dollar franchise...and turning "America's team" into "Clown's team".

Stevie saying..."where are those sedatives?"

105.3 The Fan will gain more listenership (and sponsors) going full-on-anti-Jerry in the next few years than they would as the anointed Cowboys network.

Mr. Jones is burning his empire down by the day....and the mass fan hatred will roll over to his children.

Jerry bought the Dallas Cowboys to make money. Those first SB’s were needed in order for the money to come in, and Jerry has been counting the dollars ever since.

This is no longer the Dallas Cowboys, it’s a NFL org held hostage by a money maker not a football lover.

If you’re paying for anything Dallas Cowboys you got no one to blame but yourselves.
So important to know! Thank you for your post.

This should be a sticky, so everybody can inhale it.

There are tons of Cowboys fans that fully turned on this team yesterday.
It’s not a question of turning on this team.
True fans will never turn on this team.

It is about realizing nothing we do or say is going to change the narrative. This is Jerry’s orchestra.

So we stop caring and giving the Jones family any of our money… only then when the Joneses stop making money will they invest to make this team relevant again
