Huh, I have observed the complete opposite. This team doesn't give up and believes in Garrett.

I didn't say that they quit or don't believe in Garrett.

They do play hard, very sloppy, but hard for the most part.

I just think in the back of their minds that they don't expect to win and I don't believe our coaches have gave us any kind of advantage on game day outside of having them "play hard".

It'd require a miraculous turnaround by the defense and a full-on lightning in a bottle thing for the entire team to even think of going deep in the playoffs.
Never say never though.

That's just wild speculation and from what I've seen has no basis in reality.

That 2010 10-6 Packers team was world beater by no definition. They were not favored to beat the Steelers and the pre-season rankings nobody had them even going to the superbowl. Same story with the 07 and 11 Giants.

well someone who passed football 101 would realize both of those Giants teams had defenses....

as regards the packers they got really lucky; most of their defensive injuries healed just before the playoffs. Someone who had bothered to look would have realized that...

Can this team make the playoffs?

Sure. Especially in a weak NFC east.

Can it beat teams like San Fran, Seattle, Green Bay, and New Orleans consecutively once it gets there? Absolutely not.

Garrett is like 1-19 against teams with winning records. What makes us think we can go to the tournament and run off 3 or 4 straight, when we haven't been able to beat more than a single 'quality' opponent in 4 years.

Of course we do, all we have to do is catch fire at the right time like the 2007 Giants. Half of the teams in the NFL have enough talent, it's just a matter of catching fire at the right time and firing on all cylinders.

Now I wont say our chances are great, but it's foolish thinking to think this team doesn't have enough "talent". Our defense is definitely less talented then our offense, but then again they don't need to play amazing, just not be ranked 20-32.

I've always said it our defense can be average, not good, not terrible - just average. Than this team can make some noise.

It's amazing we're 8-8 and able to compete with a historically bad defense that can't force any turnovers. Truly is a testament to how good of a QB we have in Romo.

Not likely at all, but seasons often evolve and change.

Let's just focus on the division first. That is truly winnable.

The best way to prove that you're not all talk about believing the Cowboys can get to a Super Bowl, is to post a picture of you putting your money down on a sports booking site, otherwise, it's just more lip service.

Define world beater? And how many Super Bowl teams were world beaters, whatever that means?
Second, so what if they weren't favored to beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. That doesn't make them the worst team to ever play in the Super Bowl, certainly not worse than the Cowboys.
And just because no one has you going to the Super Bowl doesn't mean you're not a Super Bowl contender.

The 2009 team was 11-5 and then 10-6 their Super Bowl year. They weren't coming off three consecutive seasons of mediocrity, like the Cowboys.

The 2010 team was 2nd in overall defense and 10th in overall offense.
The 2010 team never lost a game by more than four points and never trailed by more than seven.
The 2010 team was ranked 9th in yards per game, tenth in total points, & fifth in passing yards
The 2010 team was ranked fifth in yards allowed and finished second in least amount of points allowed.

And, of course, that team had Aaron Rodgers, one fo the two three quarterbacks in the league at that time and now.

As for the 2007 Giants, they were 14th in overall offense and 17th in overall defense (and they beat the Cowboys, and I know you're not saying this Cowboys team could beat the 2007 Cowboys team).
As for the 2011 Giants, they were 9th in overall offense and 25th in overall defense.

Meanwhile ...

The 2013 Cowboys were 16th in overall offense and DEAD LAST in overall defense.

No, those teams that went to the Super Bowl were SUPERIOR to the Cowboys team we've assembled between last year and this year.
