To all the Julius Jones apologists

Barber has been better all along.

Didn't need tonight to make up my mind...but tonight was icing on the cake.

JuJo: 16 carries, 66 yards
Marion: 11 carries, 65 yards and a NICE TD run.

How does that favor Julius in any way?
His "NICE TD run" was a stupid decision that could've cost us points.

Sure...............Game 1 of a 16 game season. There. That was too easy. Then again...................

Guess you're going to ignore the other 16 from last year, then. You act like this was the first time we've seen MBIII outplay Julius.

I have to admit that I have come around to the MBIII side. He just sparks the entire team. He is relentless and WILL NOT BE DENIED.

It's only a stupid decision if it DOES cost us points. As it were, he not only picked up the first down but scored. If you can do that, unleash it.

its really not a hard concept parchy. the giants defense was fresh for the first quater when jj had 4-7 of his carries which makes it that much harder to run against. put barber in their and its going to be close to the same results...barber may be better but not much better, and if you think benching JJ is going to solve the problem you are wrong, and that is simple

pay attention...did you notice the first quater when JJ softened up the defense...oh i guess you missed that hu? Barber may be the better back but (may) but he would not be as good as he is without Jones...so next game why dont you pay attention and see who does all the work at the beginning softening up the defense.

:lmao2: :lmao:

I would just suggest to all the "Bench Julius" and "Our D is terrible and Wade sucks" posters....

look down the board. If a similar thread has been started, post your thoughts in there. Chances are, your thoughts probably aren't original enough to warrant their own threads.
yes but in my case its different :D

There is no possible way any sane human can say Julius deserves to start over Marion after tonight.

So you're sure Barber will start next week?

if barber is so good then how come after 1.5 years and 2 coaches he still is not startin?

I can't believe people are *****ing about who starts over whom at RB

the system did well tonight

27 carries, 131 yards, 4.9 ypc, TD

When did I say we bench Julius?

This is about who gets the majority of carries, who starts the game. I think Barber could do much more with it if he had the 16 and Julius had the 11. It's kind of a dumb argument on both our parts because the combo clearly works, but MBIII should be the featured back.

And I can't wait till MBIII starts games so Julius' "softening up" can be put to bed. It really is one of the more ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Why does everyone want one guy to get a lot more carries than the other. Splitting the carries of the 2 guys works and it'll make it tougher on opponants defenses.

notice how last year, anyone wanting barber to play more took a lot of heat. now it is down to, well thaye should both start, well JJ is still ok, well he helps out some

This is to all the people who claim that the "combo" of Julius and Barber works only because of Julius, and that Barber can't carry the load, and that we're better off with Julius starting and Barber getting a few touches in the "right situation".

Please, pay attention.

You'll notice who was in the game at the end of the game. You'll notice who was sparking the offense. You'll notice who was running over dudes when we needed the tough yards.

You'll also notice who was juking his way into defenders. Who was going down at first contact. Who was running the ball out of bounds to stop the clock, when we wanted to eat up the time.

Barber should be the starter, stop apologizing for Julius, he should be the one spotting Barber, not the other way around. The only time he sparkles is when there's no one in his way and he can outrun guys.
wise words which I've been saying for months.
But good luck finding any more support here on this opinion.

Julius gets yardage if the hole is HUGE! No one copuld possibly think JJ would have scored on that 4th down play. That was a special play by a special player.

Barber is a stud who shuld be on the field as a full time player. Gradually more and more football analysts are saying it including Troy and Madden. Deion talked about it last year. Hopefully it's only a matter of time.

WHERE have you been? I mean Julius himself has stated SEVERAL times it was the HC inducing robotic movement from Julius. SOOOOOO with that being said, BY Julius, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

BTW......please don't start a "We're going to the SB" thread after 1 game. Thanks in advance.

You're preaching to the choir. Save your keystrokes for the people who are not convinced yet. JJ is soft. It's just that simple. His aledged (sp) chip is just that ... a chip. He ain't scaring nobody. He can keep starting just because he's on the payroll. But we know who the real RB is.
