If there is one problem every coach in the league outside of San Diego or Kansas City would love to have it would be having to choose between JuJo and MBIII. It's not a problem, it's a strength. If it aint broke, don't fix it. We put up 45 points today so I don't think anything offensively is broken outside of too many penalties on the o-line. Defense is what should be the concern and soon all will be fine on that side of the ball too, as soon as T-New gets back. So everyone just chill.

The question is why was JJ in the game and not MB3 with 7 minutes to go in the game and we were trying to protect a lead?

That made about as much sense as all that presnap motion from Hoyte and Barber to disguse a throw in the flat to Oliver "STONE HANDS " Hoyte on first down!:D

I notice you're getting all in a lather over Barber
He played GREAT
Who is to say JJ won't play great next game?

Sit down, you'll feel better.:)

This is to all the people who claim that the "combo" of Julius and Barber works only because of Julius, and that Barber can't carry the load, and that we're better off with Julius starting and Barber getting a few touches in the "right situation".

Please, pay attention.

You'll notice who was in the game at the end of the game. You'll notice who was sparking the offense. You'll notice who was running over dudes when we needed the tough yards.

You'll also notice who was juking his way into defenders. Who was going down at first contact. Who was running the ball out of bounds to stop the clock, when we wanted to eat up the time.

Barber should be the starter, stop apologizing for Julius, he should be the one spotting Barber, not the other way around. The only time he sparkles is when there's no one in his way and he can outrun guys.

And yet, the coaches are starting Julius...

How depressing, a message board "expert" knows more about the game of football than all those guys that Jerry pays megabucks to...

There is no possible way any sane human can say Julius deserves to start over Marion after tonight.

So, you think Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett are insane??

There goes the last vestiges of your credibility...

they are giving him any opportunity to maintain his starting role, which should be gone

One presumes they have good reason for doing so, which is all the rebuttal I need for the "Barber should start" crew... that, and two little words-- Troy Hambrick...

Personally, I am not even bashing our coaches for not starting Barber. But I am also not convinced that they aren't thinking the same things we are at this point. We came in thinking "Let Julius prove himself this year" as I am sure they did. And now, after another excellent performance from Barber to open the season, I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of changes against the Dolphins next week.

You keep parroting that but after having watched both Hambrick and Barber you have absolutely no basis for comparison other than both were Cowboys backup RBs. Hambrick isnt even half the back that Barber is.

Let's not be silly. MB is his own player, Troy was his own player. The league is full of productive backups that went on to be stars, say, one Tiki Barber. Don't be ridiculous.

I just find it humorous that the JJ fanatics have to fall back on things that have nothing to do with JJ and Barber and the history of their production and play style for our team. They always have to relate it to past players, other teams, other situations or just wild guess-work about the future.

I might use Barber just a little more (say a 50/50 split with the starting RB), but I wouldn't mess with a good thing. If anything, I'd leave it just the way it is (about 43/57, same as the last 8 games last year).
