BTW......please don't start a "We're going to the SB" thread after 1 game. Thanks in advance.

parchy;1632799 said:If you saw anything different in Julius' running tonight than from the Parcells years, let me know, because I sure didn't. He still looks like a boring, predictable robot. It's Week 1, so that can obviously change, but this is what we have to go on. Until it does, he's the same Julius "Middle of the Pack Magnet" Jones we've known since his 2nd year.
they should hook up electric stim and shock him every time he gets tackled by the first defender, hboyr try this:spanking:Blake;1632795 said:What gets me is how unbalinced he seems when he's running. He always looks like he's going to fall over, and then he has to take a few steps to even build any momentum, he doesn't necessarily hit the hole very hard.
Jimz31;1632758 said:No kidding...same with the Chargers....how bout LT....I guess he sits cuz his backup looked SOOOO much superior.
CaptainAmerica;1632756 said:Julius gets yardage if the hole is HUGE! No one copuld possibly think JJ would have scored on that 4th down play. That was a special play by a special player.
Barber is a stud who shuld be on the field as a full time player. Gradually more and more football analysts are saying it including Troy and Madden. Deion talked about it last year. Hopefully it's only a matter of time.

1. You just compared Julius Jones to L.T., one of those players is going to the hall of fame, one of those players has been the league MVP, one of those players owns the records for most touchdowns in a season by a RB. I'll let you guess which one.
2. Turner could EASILY be starting on 3/4 of the teams in this league, and he WILL be starting for one, in a featured roll, next season.
3. Let's not pretend last year didn't happen. Okay? No one is judging Marion on this ONE game, he was around all of last year, and you should check his stats if you're wondering how productive he was.
4. Essentially, until you've seen MB in a featured roll, you have absolutely no ground to stand on and say he can't carry the load. You're just blowing smoke.
Stop apologizing for him, Julius Jones is not L.T., or Sean Alexander, or Larry Johnson, or Steven Jackson. He's JJ, and we all know what JJ can, and can not do.
I'm not saying the guy should be booted out of the league, for all I know, he could leave next year, go to some other team and average 1,200 yards and 8 touchdowns there for the next 5 years. All I'm saying is that Barber should be getting 17-22 carries a game to JJ's 8-12, not the other way around.

Jimz31;1633035 said:Deal with it....we need BOTH RB's...like I said on a previous post, what does it matter WHO starts?
That's been my point forever. It was the same point last year. You guys see a guys name on a jersey and make assumptions which I showed weren't true (Those about the offense not being able to move the ball).
Let me guess, you were smirking when JJ had that long run weren't you.... See? It shouldn't be that way. Just be happy we won...geesh!
Doomsday;1632649 said:I agree Barber should get a chance to start, all the talk about how Jones is the home run hitter is non sense. When was the last time he actually hit a home run? Hell how often does Jones actually make someone miss? In my opinion Barber would put my pressure on teams to come up and stop the run, as he is able to grind out tough yards that elude Jones.
NickZepp;1632670 said:He had a good game. Probably around 80 or 90 yards rushing. He's a good back. I like Barber better.
