Good, accurate post: Barber deserves and WILL get more time. But I'm with the majority here: that's the least of our problems. Can JuJO play Cornerback? (lol)

Did you guys watch the game?

Our running backs were not our problem. We scored 45 frickin' points.

Find something else to complain about.

For the record, I'm glad we have both of them!

What gets me is how unbalinced he seems when he's running. He always looks like he's going to fall over, and then he has to take a few steps to even build any momentum, he doesn't necessarily hit the hole very hard.

WHERE have you been? I mean Julius himself has stated SEVERAL times it was the HC inducing robotic movement from Julius. SOOOOOO with that being said, BY Julius, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

BTW......please don't start a "We're going to the SB" thread after 1 game. Thanks in advance.

TO also blamed Donovan McNabb for everything that he ever did wrong in Philly. Doesn't mean it's the truth.

If you saw anything different in Julius' running tonight than from the Parcells years, let me know, because I sure didn't. He still looks like a boring, predictable robot. It's Week 1, so that can obviously change, but this is what we have to go on. Until it does, he's the same Julius "Middle of the Pack Magnet" Jones we've known since his 2nd year.

So you're sure Barber will start next week?

LOL, he won't adam, no matter how many threads they start. MBIII is a great, great backup running back, we just might need an upgrade in the starter spot over JJ.

As a matter of fact I did see adifference from BP's years. He was making moves behind the LOS. Which was a big BP no-no.

In which he was injured. Since you like memory lane, remember his first year?

WHY ARE YOU GUYS STILL ARGUING FOR JONES!!!???? I dont freaking get it? Its so freaking obvious who the better back is, its been documented from other teams what back they watch and fear more in the back field. To Jones' credit he is running a little harder than last season but not enough to warrant being the starter of this team anymore. Barber should be the starter with jones the change of pace. I'm getting sick and tired of hearing this crap his running style is too physical so he cant be the every down back. Look at all the great runners that had a physical running style and they seemed to get in a zone and run better towards the end of the game when it counted when they were getting fed the rock. Yes, it is true running like that doesnt make for a long career in this league but hey thats the nature of beast when it comes to that position and this league you play when your producing when you're not someone will take your spot. Barber needs to be the starter case closed

No kidding...same with the Chargers....how bout LT....I guess he sits cuz his backup looked SOOOO much superior.

When I talk about apologists, I'm talking about people like you.

1. You just compared Julius Jones to L.T., one of those players is going to the hall of fame, one of those players has been the league MVP, one of those players owns the records for most touchdowns in a season by a RB. I'll let you guess which one.

2. Turner could EASILY be starting on 3/4 of the teams in this league, and he WILL be starting for one, in a featured roll, next season.

3. Let's not pretend last year didn't happen. Okay? No one is judging Marion on this ONE game, he was around all of last year, and you should check his stats if you're wondering how productive he was.

4. Essentially, until you've seen MB in a featured roll, you have absolutely no ground to stand on and say he can't carry the load. You're just blowing smoke.

Stop apologizing for him, Julius Jones is not L.T., or Sean Alexander, or Larry Johnson, or Steven Jackson. He's JJ, and we all know what JJ can, and can not do.

I'm not saying the guy should be booted out of the league, for all I know, he could leave next year, go to some other team and average 1,200 yards and 8 touchdowns there for the next 5 years. All I'm saying is that Barber should be getting 17-22 carries a game to JJ's 8-12, not the other way around.

Julius gets yardage if the hole is HUGE! No one copuld possibly think JJ would have scored on that 4th down play. That was a special play by a special player.

Barber is a stud who shuld be on the field as a full time player. Gradually more and more football analysts are saying it including Troy and Madden. Deion talked about it last year. Hopefully it's only a matter of time.

That's what I was thinking.

It's as obvious as the nose on your face.

Barber should be starting getting 20-25 carries a game with Jones as the spell back getting 5-8 carries a game. Barber is just clearly a better runner and receiver than Jones. jesus at this point Barber looks a lot faster than Jones who is supposed to be our speed back...

Deal with it....we need BOTH RB's...like I said on a previous post, what does it matter WHO starts?
That's been my point forever. It was the same point last year. You guys see a guys name on a jersey and make assumptions which I showed weren't true (Those about the offense not being able to move the ball).

Let me guess, you were smirking when JJ had that long run weren't you.... See? It shouldn't be that way. Just be happy we won...geesh!

Are you being dense on purpose? Who said anything about not playing both RB's?

I agree Barber should get a chance to start, all the talk about how Jones is the home run hitter is non sense. When was the last time he actually hit a home run? Hell how often does Jones actually make someone miss? In my opinion Barber would put my pressure on teams to come up and stop the run, as he is able to grind out tough yards that elude Jones.

I don't care about who starts. I really don't understand why people are all in a tizzy about choosing one over the other. Every team needs two backs. I love MB, I just tolerate JuJo. It's about who produces. Everything is fine just the way it is. By the way, JuJo NEVER makes anyone miss;)

He had a good game. Probably around 80 or 90 yards rushing. He's a good back. I like Barber better.

Thank you. That's all we're saying. We (The MBIII Bunch), just like Marion better.

Of course JJ isn't worthless or anything. He can still fill a role in this offense. But Barber has got to be the main man in Dallas. Hell, let HIM "soften up" a defense if anything. He'll do it WHILE making plays. Julius isn't softening up anyone when he goes down after a slap to the ankle.

I can't disagree with anything you stated.

What I will say is this, with a defense obviously adjusting to the new scheme and the lack of a secondary, Dallas needs a back that can close a game. Romo's pick came about because we could not consistently run the football with either back. Just because MBIII was the better of the two doesn't mean he is that much better. If you need two of anything it means you don't have one "main" thing.

LT had a tough game today but when the game needed to be sealed, he did it on his own. That is what a FRANCHISE back does. Dallas has none and thus our entire season will ride on a QB that has 11 starts.

I think Romo is the real deal, but, he needs a FRANCHISE back like Aikman did. Dallas' running game will be an issue all season when it comes to sealing games or just establishing "your will" against a worn down defense.
